I Was Close To Geordie Heaven Last Night – Very Close

After we played so well last night and then threw away 2 points  late in the game, many Geordie fans will be feeling a little frustrated this morning – I certainly am – more than I should be.

We suppose the positive is that the lads played really well, but it’s a bad feeling when we keep giving away the points by missing chances and then conceding poor goals.

But that’s the way it’s been this season and the defense needs strengthening in the summer.

If we had have held on for what would have been a great win for us, I would have been in Geordie heaven this morning like a lot of other fans, but it just wasn’t to be.

Oh no!

We just want to get that automatic promotion place and we’ll all be a lot happier and much less frustrated.

Hopefully.

It’s clear this will be the last Newcastle promotion I’ll ever see in my lifetime, after watching my first game way back in 1949 at St. James’ Park – and being so proud to be a Geordie.

I’m going to celebrate this big time when it comes – I can promise you all that.

Here’s how things stand at the top of the Championship.

    Ed

Of course it’ll be the last promotion you’ll see – we’ll be in the Prem next season and thereafter, onwards and upwards.

    Poor tactics
    Wrong decisions
That’s the problem,we might be on the verge of going up but the style and way we play is not easy on the eye,we should of walked this league by now,
Iam afraid Rafa is the one who should shoulder the blame,he plays too many square pegs in round holes, why does he pick freakin colback and Diane ,they cost us points time after time, and they’re rubbish, get rid of these 2 asap.
Let’s hope we don’t have to endure the play offs.

Running the ball in the corner at the end was embarrassing its Leeds at home, not Man U in the FA Cup final ffs.
