Newcastle Fans Want This Exciting Young Striker

Ladbrokes made Newcastle United favourites to sign Chelsea’s 19 year-old striker Tammy Abraham this summer on a season long loan in the Premier League.

The lad has scored a massive 23 Championship goals on loan at Bristol City this season and he would be a terrific singing for us – hopefully with an option to buy.

Newcastle fans took to Twitter a[n the news but some fans have talked about signing this lad from last month.

Tammy Abrahams in action for Bristol City

If we do get Tammy in it’s hard to see 20 year-old Adam Armstrong making the first team squad for next season, but we’ll wait and see.

Here’s some tweets on Tammy.

And some earlier tweets about Tammy.

From what the Bristol City fan was saying, Chelsea want him back to start introducing him to first team football. Of course, that doesn’t mean he’s not for sale if the price is right, but again, would a young London boy want to venture this far into the wild north east? He would if he had any sense, but these London boys have a strange idea as to what it’s like up here! 🙂 Far from the flashing lights and trendy clubs. They seem to forget how close it is on the train or plane like!

Regarding the idea of moving the training centre south, we need to be very careful. It’s been booted around before about franchising clubs and the precedent has been set with MK Dons. Would you put it past some rich Yank or Chinese starting with the training centre, then picking somewhere down there to play the odd games. Before you know it we ain’t got a club any more. Doom n gloom, gnashing of teeth. Naw, this is wor club and if they won’t come, Shove it.

I think the Sky Sports article is fair and reflects opinions of other fans I know, especially Leeds and forest fans who know this league well. They reckoned with our players fans and manager that we were the best team ever to come into the league, that they had been watching for years. I agree. Rafa had a huge budget and people sniping at guys like Anita are misguided. He’s a Dutch international not some donkey from Halifax. Dummett has played at prem league level and in also a current international. Diame was very good for Hull. Rafa will be annoyed about the trophy. His work at the club in general is brilliant but I feel he could have attacked far more assertively at home (we have shown what we can do when we needed to eg Norwich and even Leeds). That said the bigger picture for the club is better and he has been great for us. Rafa will need 80*mill in the summer surely, to get a minimum of 4-5 players? Any thoughts on budgets?
