Huddersfield Hammered – A Win On Monday – Newcastle Promoted

You know Fulham were always a favorite side of ours and the in-form Craven Cottage side this afternoon simply hammered Huddersfield 4-1 at John Smith’s Stadium, even though the Terriers went ahead with a penalty after just four minutes of the game

That means the best the Terriers can do is 87 points, so a win by Newcastle giant Preston will see us promoted and at St. James’ Park.

We need 2 points from the last three games to be promoted and no points at all if the Terriers don’t win all three of their remaining games.

Reading lost 3-2 at Nottingham Forest and can only equal Newcastle current total of 85 points so because of our better goal difference that cannot top us now.

Premier League – here we come!

Here’s the current league positions at the top of the Championship with Fulham now winning four games in a row and likely playoff favorites and their goal difference is great too.

If our players want to experience one of the greatest nights of their football careers, they will turn up and hammer Preston.

But in truth all we really need to do is win the game and the roof will be blown off St. James’ Park.

Part one of the Rafa revolution will have been successfully completed.

Now to win that Champions League!

And don’t forget Rafa risked his career to manage Newcastle United  in England’s second division- he’s a class act.

Did I say he was also a world-class manager?

f Carlsberg did footy results….! One win OR two draws is enough now – assuming Huddersfield win their last three. And I think they have to play again on Tuesday and next Saturday at Wolves and then Birmingham – not easy!

That table looking very healthy now innit? ? Just a win on Monday and we’ve done it. Can see many people throwing a sicky on Monday and making a day of it. ? Think it’ll be a belting atmosphere and that should push the lads across the line. There’s no guarantee the chasers will win their games either. All credit to Rafa and the boys. He’s stuck by his principals and played the percentages, knowing himself we had what it takes. Well done Brighton and Chris Hughton for staying with us and then some. That said, you never know… ? The fat lady is only warming up yet.
Well, gonna enjoy the semi final now in a very laid back manner. All the ingredients of a cracking game. Two best teams in the country by a distance.
Enjoy the moment lads, it’s been a long time coming. Next season we’ll see the best of Rafa and hopefully everyone will get behind him, like him or now he’s OUR Rafa. Long may he stay so too.

Who’d have thought Brighton, Huddersfield and Reading would all lose eh? Just goes to show that any team can choke when it really matters. What a party atmosphere it could be at SJP on Monday. Hope the lads can go out and play without any pressure now and put in a real performance, without any complacency though. The job isn’t *quite* done yet.

I assume it’s on the telly with it being a Monday night game, right?

Thank god! Get us out of this horrible league! So much inconsistency but I think the pressure is off we can get a win and big celebration Monday night!
