Watch Out For Early Newcastle Transfer Business

Newcastle are now almost certain to be promoted – it’s not yet mathematically certain but if we win on Monday night at home to Preston North End we will go up.

And if don’t win on Monday night then the players will have missed out on what could have been one of the greatest nights of their careers.

But the next night on Tuesday if Huddersfield don’t win at Wolves in their make-up game at an in-form Wolves side we will be promoted.

Rafa Benitez arriving at St. James’ Park on 11th March last year

Wolves are starting to win games now under new manager Paul Lambert and they have won six of their last nine games – 19 points from 9 games and they beat Fulham 3-1 at Craven Cottage on 18th March in that streak.

Once we are officially promoted then expect Lee Charnley to go into overtime behind the scenes to go after Rafa’s transfer targets.

Lee and Rafa worked great together last summer and it’s important we have another very successful transfer window before we return to the Premier League.

We’re sure Rafa will want new players brought  in very early in the summer so they have a full pre-season and the manager can also have his one-one-one meeting  soon with owner Mike Ashley to  sort out the funds for the summer.

One thing is certain, any funds Rafa can get from selling players will be used for bringing in new players.

We expect Mike to give Lee and Rafa just as much as he can in funds this summer – he’s no fool and will never want another relegation at Newcastle.

We wont have one for as long as Rafa Benitez stays with us.

And we would expect Newcastle to release the new home strip for next season and announce who our new shirt sponsor will be and maybe a sleeve sponsor?

They have probably been waiting for promotion before they officially do that.

Our manager has never been given the credit for the bravery and courage he showed in staying on board and managing Newcastle in the second division.

You hardly ever see that from a world-class  manager and one of the reasons is they have nothing to gain – they can only lose.

But is hows the fans of Rafa’s complete commitment to Newcastle United Football Club.

Rafa has got us promoted and he’s done fantastically well in what is a strange and tough league for him,  but he accepted the challenge and he produced the goods.

Everybody (pundits, national journalists ….) will sayhe should have with the money he got and the squad he had – even though we made over £40M profit last summer in the transfer window..

Sometimes you just cannot win.

But Newcastle fans have won big  by having Rafa Benitez as our manager.

Did I say I am really really looking forward to this summer’s transfer window?

Yes – I thought I had.

A match of the score line would do me fine. 4 tap ins, ricochets, own goals, owt.

Cannot wait til I’m in the ground on Monday!!! Hopefully, promotion will be in the bag by 9.45pm(ish)!

And thankyou to Hudders, Reading and Brighton for all having your @rses handed to you on a plate this weekend. Especially ‘flatter to deceive’ Hudders.

Oh, and a special mention to Gary Monk: “maybe you should have tried to win your game against us”. Hah. Bell.

Oh, and the icing on the cake is the scum being 12 points from safety. Hur hur. 🙂

Come on lads get me out of this league. One win, Monday night. Then it’s party time and Rafa you can have fun rotating the lot of them in the last two games. Hell play the tea lady.

Monday play the Leeds set up.

Everyone wants to beat us in this league, we are the biggest scalp I don’t care what anyone says. That in itself makes getting promotion even more difficult for us. Winning the league would’ve been nice but I’m happy to be going up with the squad we’ve had(alot of championship level). We’re far from a team of superstars in this league so it certainly wasn’t a walk in the park as pundits and opposing managers suggest it should’ve been. I think there will be a massive overhaul with alot of our current first eleven being pushed out to squad players or even moved on. I don’t think anyone of them is safe even our better players this season. Summer will be interesting!

    Job done!

We didn’t exactly sprint over the line but but stumbling over in 2nd place is absolutely fine and we’ve avoided the play-offs which in our current form would have been an abject failure…so all good.

…and now the fun begins…Who will stay and who will go.

IMO only four players good enough for the premier league but can’t see another 9 coming in so Rafa’s gonna have to do what very few managers are able to do…make the team play to a sum greater than the sum of the individual parts.

The hardest part to come…we’ve done extremely well getting promotion at the first attempt but we are light years behind a good premier standard we’re certainly no better than any of the teams coming down so major surgery is required….surgery that’s gonna cost a fortune.

Thank Gawd for that, almost there, broke my heart giving my tickets away tonight, have to watch it with a bottle of Listerine instead, it’s going to be some party on Monday night. Bristol still technically need a point to be safe so here’s hoping…..

Jeezus. H. Christ the leagiue contains teams like Watford, Bournemouth and West Ham, why not just stay in the Championship if we’re going to get down about promotion?

I think we have a heap of capable epl players, and a top quality manager, so a bit of quality in the right positions is all that`s required for a more than decent first campaign back. Solid achievement to get back up at the first attempt, though the relegation still wrankles, and another solid season to follow and to consolidate our place in the top flight will do just fine and is well within our natural capacity.

Looking forward to promotion as well and curious to see who Rafa still has in his plans for next season.

What does everyone think about Atsu are we bringing him back?

Also few players on loan and injured like Krul,De Jong, Armstrong and Aaronns what the verdict?

Gouffran or Anita getting a new contract?

Few players I’ve seen mentioned for us that I would be happy with are Shawcross,McCarthy,Abraham and Coco. I’m sure Rafa has some in La Liga that we haven’t heard of either or Serie A.

Don’t think atsu will end up being signed in all honesty. Would like to sign him with at least another top quality winger at least since we are short on the wings, especially a genuine left winger. Think when we got him on loan the fee to sign him was reportedly around 3-5 million which is nothing really. Can’t count on aarons who makes dyer look bulletproof!

Should sell de Jong, loan out Armstrong, release gouffran and I would keep Anita for at least one more year to compete with yedlin. That way sterry can go on loan to a championship team for a year.

ronaldo – think you are right there – Beranhino – certainly not a “typical” Carr player. Definitely Wally Brolly.
