Alan Shearer Congratulates The Great Rafa Benitez

Alan Shearer took to Twitter immediately after our great 4-1 win over Preston North End tonight to congratulate the man who made it all happen this season with the team he built last summer – our manager Rafa Benitez.

This man doesn’t get the credit he deserves but Rafa and Newcastle are back in the back time.

Up where we belong.

On way home we were nervous especially after their goal but we had a bit of luck tonight. I have to say the referee was excellent after all the fuss best Ive seen this season!

Big Al’s right when he says the fun’ll start……. No doubt he’s referring to whether Ashley’ll support Rafa – or pi$$ him, and fans, off. He’d be daft if he did.

From previous, I listened to the match on 5 Live and the crowd sounded unhelpful at times. Silence and grumbling does not help the players. And large numbers leaving in numbers before the game was over just beggars belief.

All credit to those who voiced their support throughout the game and var nye lifted the roof of SJP on the final whistle. 😀

A great night for Rafa, the players and all fans – whether armchair or ‘real’ fans. 😉

If Rafa could get Al on board next season brilliant but it’d need to be on a part-time, consultancy type of arrangement given his Beeb job.

Oh, and if Rafa manages to persuade Ashley to back him with loadsamoney AND shake hands with Al, he’ll have performed miracles
