Rafa Benitez has just announced the starting eleven. who hopefully will be the players who start the game tonight against Preston North End this evening and take us right back to the Premier league at the very first attempt.
We really hope that’s the case but with Newcastle this season nothing is ever certain – as we have found out.
But over 52,000 fans will be there urging and cheering on the lads to win this game – a draw will not be good enough.
There’s a few surprises in the team with goalkeeper Rob Elliot making his first appearance this season and Ciaran Clark is back at long last and Mitro gets his chance to be a hero up front.

If Rob Elliot and the lads can keep a clean sheet and Mitro can score we are promoted – it’s that simple.
Putting Rob Elliot in goal could be master-stroke of man-management by Rafa, but we hope Rob doesn’t have too much to do.
Rob was fantastic for us last season and we don’t forget that.
He has probably been looking great in training recently.
Rafa Benitez arriving for the game tonight – let ‘s hope he also leaves smiling
Rafa was asked before the game if his lack of promotion situations in his career may have been a factor the Magpies winning only two of the last eight games – our worst run this season:
“I was thinking about that the other day,” “When you play a final, sometimes you have time to be nervous with the tension. You try to do your best, trust yourself if you make mistakes or not.”
“I was promoted with Extremadura, it was fine. But I was promoted with Tenerife. It went to the last game of the season and we were fighting against Atletico Madrid.”
“Our stadium was full of Atletico Madrid fans; we needed to win because we knew they would win.” “We went 1-0 up. In a game, you have to be calm and do the right things.”
“So I have experience of these situations.”
“In every club I have been at there were nerves.” “In Inter, they didn’t sign anyone from the beginning and they wanted to win everything.” “How can you expect that if you don’t bring in new people?” (hint to Mike Ashley)
“To be fair, Liverpool was different.” “They told me, in three years, you have to try to win something, and we won the first year and then another final.”
“Everybody was happy with the situation.” “Any team, you have the same things.” “Real Madrid, we won 68% of our games. And still they say, ‘Oh, it’s not enough’.”
“You have the same situation in every club with different objectives.”
A massive 86% think we will win this game tonight – everybody around the world who supports Newcastle United is also hoping that comes true.
Howay The Lads – make us proud tonight!!
