Video – Rafa’s Sky Interview After Great 2-0 Win – He’s Staying

Here’s Rafa Benitez Sky Sports interview after the great 2-0 win at Cardiff City last night and at the end of the interview Rafa is asked if he is excited about the future and he says yes and smiles.

None of this – “we will see” – after last night’s performance and earlier in the week he had a few personal calls with owner Mike Ashley over the phone.

🙂

This man has no intention of leaving Newcastle United – he just needs to get Mike Ashley on board with his blueprint for Newcastle’s future, but we understand Mike is already a big fan of Rafa’s and rates his manager highly.

Good.

Think Julian Bradt signed pre-contract agreement to join Bayern Munich next season.I wanted the player myyself but..

Good win yest’y but i ain’t tempted for the title.Getting promoted in itself is a big sigh of relief considering the team was under pressure after bit of slump. If Zidane wins either of z title,
it’ll be a great season of joy and happiness for fans like me who adore
    Zinadine Zidane and Newcastle united.

Not many highlights last night, but results is the name of the game, this year and next.

Highlights: two excellent goals and the Perez penalty when the defender didn’t know if Perez was going left or right.

Loved Rafas response when asked if he thought we had a bright future. Somethings happening out there.

Don’t want to get too excited but if Brighton slip up today we are in for one hell of a Sunday afternoon. Bristol are in a great run of form and still technically need a point to guarantee survival.

Can’t wait for the Premier league. Feels like every matches there is sometimes one and often two massive penalty shouts that go unnoticed. Not saying well get the penalties but hoping they are at least less blatant.

Mind you Hayden’s strike wan’t bad either.

First half last night pretty even game.
second half excellent great movement all over the pitch some lovely moves and two great goals. A pleasure to watch

Atsu has a quiet class about him and he’s scored some important goals and knows how to strike the ball.
He’s like little Rafa – get him signed.hes earned it and he’s very welcome at the toon.

Brighton must be anxious about going to Villa so will be anxious about tonight because of that.
They should beat Bristol but you never know
The Fat Lady is still in her dressing room.

What also pleased me last night was Mbemba and Clark carrying the ball out of defence and looking for a pass instead of sideways and backwards to the keeper to hoof. Shelvey missing could also of been a factor for Clark and Mbemba carrying the ball as they were not looking for him dot do the ‘work’

Would like to see Atsu quickly confirmed as a permanent signing, not sure what the agreed fee is though. He will be a usual squad player next season.

After all the rubbish Prutton talks was refreshing to hear Keith Andrews with a decent assessment of our side and nice to see Hayden getting praise, we are a much better side when he starts.

Fantastic singing by the toon army in the second half. Predicting Brighton draw today. Leeds fail to win and Blackburn win to put Birmingham in the final relation spot.

Do you know what was great about the free kick, simplicity, he didn’t try and burst the ball with power, he picked a spot and cooley put it there. Well done Atsu.

i like him and i would sign him. ok i know it’ was about getting out of the league, but players like Goofy, diame, Lascelles got more football than there abilities should have allowed.

IMO Perez,Atsu, Mbemba are much better options.

hope Brighton don’t win today, so it will be a great competition next weekend, us at home to Barnsley where we have been crap ? vs poor teams, and them vs Villa away, and how ironic would it be for those villa fans who seem to hate us, there team could help us win the title. well my fingers are crossed for it to happen that way, you know what they say, you have to speak things into existence.

My little lad’s (18 months) just watched that on my phone and he give Rafa a massive kiss, he’s all in! Hayden and Atsu were stand outs last night but went for Hayden as he has such a massive impact on the team and we sorely missed him when he was out.

Is it just me or do you lot think Rafa knows something that he’s not letting on?
He knows he’s staying, he knows he has the backing of Ashley, he knows the players he has in mind and he knows the sums involved (both incoming and outgoing).
    What do you reckon?
