Rafa Is Pure Class – Still Loved By Liverpool Fans – Video

It’s the sign of the man that whenever Rafa is at his home near Liverpool, he is swamped by their still appreciative fans when they see him.

Liverpool fans are very much like Newcastle fans – they are just a lot more used to winning trophies since 1970.

🙂

Rafa was at the start of the 5K run for the 96 on Saturday and he was seen signing autographs and getting pictured with Liverpool fans, who spotted him near the starting line.

Rafa has been a big supporter of justice for the 96 – the total fatalities in the tragedy at Hillsborough Stadium back in April, 1989.

When Newcastle played Sheffield Wednesday earlier this year Mr. Benitez laid a wreath at the Hillsborough memorial in honor of the fallen supporters.

What a man!

Harry maguire looked a few stone over weight in the game yesterday, haven’t seen him play at all this season bar yesterday,so cant say i have an opinion on him,but in the premier u need pace which doesn’t seem to be one of his best assets tbh

Mbemba talking to the Belgian media (he’s in Brussels at the moment) is starting to sound like Moussa Sissoko !

    http://www.voetbalnieuws.be/news/246786/Polste_RSCA_in_januari_bij_Mbemba?_De_speler_reageert

He says he was given the opportunity to sign for Anderlecht in January – he declined – at the same time 2 PL clubs talked to him (one wanted him as a DM which he plays for DR Congo)

However he’s happy at NUFC until a top 5 club comes for him.

    Sound familiar ?

We need to start a clean slate and remove all the players the club have carried, Dummet, gourfran, Anita and colback, don’t know what Rafas going to do about up front, yesterday they were on about shifting Murphy out, which will be a massive mistake, and what’s happening to Mitrovic and Perez.

    WOW

How doesn’t it surprise me that very few people have any football knowledge?

Because of statements regarding players like Anita who people think should be sold!

Remember Perch? yeah our most versatile player who can play in many positions and doesn’t complain when out of normal role, same with Anita as to why this guy needs a 5 year contract to keep him here.

People make me laugh these days!

I like Maguires battling qualities mainly. I think Mbemba will get sold as well so I’d expect another cb incoming as well.
Gibbs I’m unsure of, hasn’t he had a poor injury record?

Do you’s think Rafa will sell every player we have or will I say players you’s lot don’t like/rate?

Players like Anita and Colback will be kept as both players can play in different roles and can fill roles when our first team players are out injured!

Rafa will mostly focus on our players who are out of contract,to many places filled and out on loan players before checking out our rotated squad, this is how top managers work and basically how to stay in the PL.

I think Mbemba could be staying if Hanley is listed as we have 4 first team CB’s.

If Rafa goes for Harry then Hanley will be off first as Rafa will know there’s no point in having 5 CB’s

Gibbs though could be a possibility as Haidara could be sold on,but I think it’s paper talk especially coming from the Sun paper.

RAFA also tried The Choker and Taffy Dummett at centre-half in the final game. Definitely no need for more than 4 specialist centre-halves.
WelshMackem9, Colback, Anita and certainly Dummett have certainly not been carried! Dummett will be staying and the other 2 are unlikely to go any time, soon!
Gouff did well, this season, but probably should be released.
Perez and Mitro will also probably stay.

I would be seriously worried if the club keeps on ‘jack of all trade, master of none’ type players. It would prove the club has not changed strategy since the Pardew days.

WM9, Lots of our players struggled in the Championship, for various reasons.
We need at least 2 players for each position, 3 goalies and players like Anita, Colback, Dummett, Hayden can cover several positions, so are essential.

We still have a lot to shift on and need to upgrade the first team and back up squad players gradually.
Priority is to shift on the players like Riviere, Vuckic, Saivet, who have no future, here. Easier said than done, when they are on decent wages and are shyte!

If we need 2/3 defenders, 2 midfielders, 1/2 wingers, 1/2 forwards , up to 9 players, we will have to keep 2/3 of our current first team squad!

Of course they have been carried, only reason dummett was playing because hiadara was injured and Lazaar couldn’t even get a game, Hayden and Shelvey was the perfect pair, when colback played he just pass the ball sideways or backwards, as for Anita, no way he’s a right back, Yedlin with Ritchie was a perfect balance, Rafa just wanted to put him somewhere.

Rafa will have this planned, he uses a 4-2-3-1 formation for many reasons.

    So……

GK- Elliot,Darlow,Krull,Sels – 2 GK will be sold(Krull and Sels) 1 GK will be brought up from the youths or Rafa will have an eye on a rising star probably younger than 18 year old.

RB- Yedlin,Gamez – 1 needs to be sold (Gamez) another coming in.

    LB-Dummet,Haidara,Lazaar – 2 to be sold (Lazaar,Haidara) 1 coming in.

CB- Clark,Hanley,Lascelles,Mbemba – 1 can be sold (Hanley) 1 coming in.

CM- Shelvey,Anita,Colback,Hayden – 0 will be sold unless replaced but in hindsight to improve 2 could be replaced if better.

Wingers- Ritchie! we need 3 wingers

    AMC- Perez,Diame- sell 1 or 2 bring in 2

    STK- Mitro,Murphy,Gayle – sell 1 bring in 1 or 2

    We need at least

Another right back to go with Yedlin.
    2 left backs.
    Another centre back.
    2 left wingers
1 right winger to go with Ritchie.
    One Prolific goal scorer.

Is Anita going to be worth what it would cost to keep him though? He can walk on a free now and get a 4 year contract elsewhere. The club would need to match other offers on the table for him. If we could keep Anita for 1 more year that would be great, but Anita is likely to want the security of a long term contract, which will be his last one at 28 years old.

Anita has not been carried same with Colback as they are both rotated players, you sell those 2 asap as you state and we are short of CM’s

Anuta as I’ve explained is a versatile player which needs to be kept not sold,Colback though can be replaced if one is in line to replace him(maybe another playmaker or Hayden type player)

Anita has only played 2 games in midfield last season, I certainly wouldn’t keep him on because he can play in MF. How likely is he to get more than 2 games in MF a season after squad improvements.

Belfast – I think the logo makes it look quite modern?
It’s reminiscent of Super dry style products?

Perhaps not for those long in the tooth (like me) but I can see it appealing to a youthful market.
