Newcastle Start Premier League With Home Game Against Spurs

The fixtures for the Premier League have just been announced and Newcastle United kickoff the season with a home game against Spurs – that’s the team we beat 5-1 at home in our last Premier League game last year.

Strange.

We play the Terriers away in the next game and then are at home to West Ham.

Newcastle play Brighton, the other promoted side, away on 23rd September and Liverpool at home on 30th September.

We don’t seem to play Sunderland – oh I almost forget –  they were relegated last season.

🙂

Here’s Newcastle’s  Premier League fixtures for next season with the dates showing day and then the month and year – as published in the Chronicle.

The next two games are at newcomers Huddersfield and then a home game with West Ham.

That’s a tough first game and interesting that it’s the same fixture as last game we played in the Premier League in May of last year when we won 5-1.

Not sure we can win 5-1 again – but you never know.

D’oh! Huddersfield or Brighton at home would have been good first up.

Would rather we were bought out by the Chinese with seemingly very deep pockets rather than some yanks who have a very mixed record in club ownerhip in the UK.

To be at home is always good to start the season no matter who the oposition is.

I’ll settle for a season like the last time we were promoted and played the Spuds first at home.

To me this take-over crap is coming at the wrong time.

just gone up we need stability and RAFA needs to know where he stands and transfer funds because hell we need a boat load of new players to be able to complete.

Hopefully Spurs will not be firing on all cylinders – first game of the season. The next 2 games are winnable so theoretically we could get off to a decent start. After that we should be able pick up points against Swansea, Stoke & Brighton so could do quite well to start with.

Gotta say, that’s a pretty decent chance to accumulate some points in the first dozen games. Spurs at home not ideal, but st James bouncing, gallowgate in full voice could be a hell of an afternoon.

Aubameyang, Reina, batschuayi, boudebouz, and fabregas making there debuts thanks to our Chinese investors. A man can dream

I think we’ll have to be patient when it comes to transfers….all the hype and stories dont help…but lets see where we are when the players are due back on 3rd of july…..dont believe nowt till the club announce something or ya heed will explode! Lol
