Newcastle’s New Away Strip Surfaces Again

Here’s another look at what seems to be Newcastle’s new away strip now that we have seen what the third strip looks like – black on black and that one looks great.

Looking forward to seeing the lads play in that strip in preseason.

Light blue is a nice contrast to the home and thrid strips – and we will need to use it wuite a few times this season – it looks a nice clean strip from what we can tell, but haven’t seen what the shorts or the socks look like – yet.

It looks genuine enough.

What do you think of this away strip?

Comments welcome.

Have to agree with lilongwe about the hype around demarei grey(excuse the spelling if wrong)….never thought he looked like much when ive seen him play and tbh looks lightweight in premier….nowt flash…other people may see him different like.

Jane – I never said Rafa would spend it all, he’s smarter than that. But I have to admit I doubt he will be handed the huge amounts people think he will be given next year (hope I am wrong). I think if Murphy comes he would probably be around 40,000 per week or possibly more. Good players with lots of potential don’t come cheap and if they prove their worth they usually have clauses in their contract that includes a pay rise after so many appearances etc. He is a good up and coming player with pace which we’re crying out for and we need more of the same.

Jane – We really need a Striker too as Mitrovic is not a natural goalscorer and can’t be relied upon as much as we do. If Gayle gets injured we will be in trouble instantly and struggle to score goals as we have no one that can slot in his place if needed.
I would love Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez here as he is a proven Premiership goalscorer and natural finisher who we can get on the cheap considering his vast experience and talent. Class player that would add so much to our current squad.

thanks JP for the answer about Murphy’s wages.

i think we should and will get another striker and won’t be unhappy if Mitrovic goes if that happens but is Chicharito too similar to Gayle? a poacher.

On Hernandez, wages shouldnt be an issue given the low £13m release clause. Hes a £25m striker in Todays market so even if he wants £140k a week its a no brainer to sign him. The lads quality and would be a big statement of intent for whoever signs him.

demarei grey often seems as if he is holding onto the ball too long but doesn’t lose it as much as you think he is going to. has quite a languid style.

Jane – My pleasure 🙂 if he is similar to Gayle is that such a bad thing? Look at Gayle and how he contributes to the team more of the same is much welcome. But in reality Chicharito is much better, higher in calibre and has been there and done it in vairous leagues and at international level. A goal machine tbh. Gayle is still not proven in the Premiership. I would like Burnley’s Andre Gray too but Chicharito is a class above both Gayle and Andre Gray.

There are two problems with Hernandez, well, as far as club policy would be concerned. Firstly, Hernandez’ sell on value would be low because of his age… secondly, there would be competition for his signature. Charnley simply will not get into a bidding war – or isn’t sanctioned to, at least.

Purely speculative but, if Rafa has the offer of £100M now and nothing in January, or £70M now and £70M in January, which would you choose?
(Thats if Mikey is to be trusted/too drunk to remember)

There wouldnt really be a bidding war, he has a release clause. Activate it, offer him what he wants and let him decide. Better than sitting back and letting a club like West Ham take him like we usually do. In regards to sell on value, by the time his contract would be up the £13m that is paid or him wouldnt even buy Rivierres left boot laces the way the market is going so £13m in return for a couple of goalscoring seasons and even just a few £mil sell on is good business imo….But are we even interested, probably not.

Bladeuser- blimey you’re a delightful and optimitic chap aren’t you lol Rafa probably just saying that them players have a chance with the real intention of shipping them out for upgrades to come in. We have to wait til the end of the transfer window to see what we’re really left with to make a proper assesment of the season ahead.

Lindisfarne – for me that’s easy the 70m now and 70m in January. That is 40m more than the full 100m in summer only. With more money you can definitely improve the squad with much more ease. More money is always better and in January you can see how the team has done in the first half and assess things again then and decide what is needed for the second half of the season.

Gayle will score goals in any league! His only weakness is hamstring injuries like many lightning quick forwards! If he stays fit he will score 20 goals next season!
