Club In The Lead Pulls Out – Newcastle Closer To Signing Top Target

West Ham has been fairly active in the transfer market this summer and they were expected to be able to sign Osmanlispor midfielder Badou N’Diaye.

In a report in GOAL of only three days ago it said the player was expected to be the Hammers’ fifth signing of the summer.

But something must have happened and after being after the Senegal midfielder for quite a few weeks there was news yesterday that West Ham seems no longer interested in the player as reported in READ WEST HAM.

26-year-old Osmanlispor midfielder Badou N’Diaye

Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol had tweeted over the weekend that Newcastle was moving in with a late attempt to hijack the deal and that may even have been successful.

The news now is that Everton and Newcastle are the only two clubs left in the race to sign the 8 times capped Senegal International.

N’Diaye is rated at around £8.8M and would seem to be a decent buy for that price in today’s completely mad transfer market when a player (Neymar) may soon be sold for a ridiculous £191M.

Or is it £192M?

That’s  even more than I received for the 34 years I worked at IBM.

🙂

In fact a lot more!

Back to reality please – Galatasaray is now also said to be keen to sign him and would mean he could stay playing in Turkey.

In the two years he’s been at Osmanlispor he’s p[layed 75 times with 18 goals and 7 assists.

With this news, a decent assumption would be that Newcastle is now close (at least closer) to signing this transfer target with the club who were once in the driver’s having pulled out.

Hope that’s right.

    TOF
Talking about the history and integrity of NUFC shows he knows nowt.
We haven’t won the top League since the year Brown Ale came out in 1927
    Ninety years ffs
We had a flurry of FA cup successes in the early 50’s won the 3rd tier Euro cup
(the cup winners cup was around then) in the late 60’s.
I had the dubious pleasure of knowing Gordon McKeag quite well he played for the same
    rugby club as my dad.
He was always Rugger not Soccer doncha know
He once told me at a Rugby dinner at the Park Hotel in Tynemouth (he knew I supported NUFC) that:-
the board actually preferred being in the 2nd division – running costs were less and
they still got the same number of plebs (his word not mine) turning up at the turnstiles !

Don’t get me started about Lord Westwood and the Seymours.

    Integrity TOF ?

    MEH!

I’ll agree Neymar is overpriced, but he might actually make a difference…

…this N’Diaye seems like yet another bargain basement player

Links to both N’Diaye, Clucas and Rolan won’t go away so we might just have to brace ourselves for this kind of standard this window…

GK Elliot Darlow Woodman 2(excluding Woodman)
    FB Manquillo Yedlin Dummet 3
CB Mbemba Clark Lascelles Lejeune 4
    DM Hayden Colback 2
    CM Diame Shelvey 2
    AM De Jong Perez 2
LW/RW Atsu Murphy Aaron Ritchie 4
    ST Mitrovic Gayle 2

Already 21 players, so we can add only another 4 but we need 5.
    LB, DM, CM, AM, St
So we need to sell one from the list. Diame?
As for new GK, he will replace Darlow.

Sell: Gamez(maybe coaching), Haidara,Hanley , Riviere, Krul, Lazaar, Saivet

Clearly the issue here is we have too many players. We need to sell up to 8 players.

For what it’s worth N’Diaye was voted best player in Norway in 2013 at the age of 22.
He has the rep of a bit of a gladiator in the Turkish Superlig , which is quite physical.
No one knew much about Cheick (r.i.p.) before he came – but by gum we soon did.
His goal average is nearly 1/3.

I think this is a done deal to replace Krul
    Badou N’Diaye for Henri Saivet
We got pipped by Man City for Hull’s Andrew Robertson
so will hang on to Haidara.
