Newcastle Interested In Signing No-Nonsense 30-Year-Old Central Defender

The mirror has a report out this Sunday that Newcastle is interested in signing 30-year-old Serdar Tasci of Spartak Moscow who has 14 caps for Germany.

Two other Premier League clubs are reported interested in the no nonsense center-back and they are Watford and Stoke City.

Tasci joined Spartak Moscow from Stuttgart back in the 2013 and since then he has played 61 times with four goals; Tasci had joined Stuttgart way back in 2005.

In February of last year, Tasci returned to the Bundesliga, signing for Bayern Munich on loan for the rest of the season as they had an injury crisis burt he made only three appearances for the German powerhouse.

We assume that if Rafa is keen on Tasci and ends up signing him then our fourth center-back Chancel Mbemba will be sold this summer or sent out on loan to at least get his wages off the wage list at Newcastle.

But we would perfectly OK that Chancel stays on Tyneside since he can also play at right back and would be very good defensive cover for us next season. and he’s already had a good

And he’s already had a good season in the Premier League during his first season at newcastkle.

Push is starting to come to shove at Newcastle now and we probably need three top players brought in before the end of this transfer window and they will cost some serious money.

But we still have a number of players to sell this summer and some will depend on who we are able to sign this summer.

What do you think?

It would be a shame to see mbemba go hes a good player but somehow its not working out for him here

Rumors have it said he does not do what rafa tells him to do so thats why he going to leave.

With yedlin pulling up yesterday with hamstring issues we need cover at rb so this one may have some merit.

There are always three clubs interested in these reports. Never two, never four. Do they pick them out of a hat? Absolutely no chance of any truth in this one.

Lads! Few minor updates on the blog:
    – fixed comment likes
    – fixed load more button on home page
    – opened comments on older posts so you can read them without troubles

I am preparing big update before new season kicks off – changed heart icon to something better (any ideas?), faster loading times on mobiles and…..no comment pagination!

Would you like me to add anything for you? Can you please report bugs to Ed or via contact form on my portfolio website (www.tylendaweb.com). I don’t have enough time to control everything 🙁

Fantasy football teams ready? What are your predictions for upcoming season? Can we fight for top10 this season or is it too early for that?

Martoon does a prediction for the season the week before season starts – maybe we could have all the predictions in one place, to help?
Good work on the blog, thanks.
