Newcastle Fans Flock To Twitter – Desperate For Lucas Perez – Spend The Money – Sign Him Up!

Looking at the comments of Newcastle fans and on Twitter, the famous Toon Army thinks that Lucas Perez would be a fantastic signing for us.

This lad has a terrific left foot and scored some excellent goals for Arsenal last season even though he hardly played.

And for just over £13M surely Newcastle can afford this player who would help solve our goalscoring problem, and when we sign him, we could recoup the money by selling Aleksandar Mitrovic.

It seems a no brainer – but Rafa would need to persuade him to come to the north-east – but he can do that.

Here are some typical tweets.

It would be dependent on how much they’re taking a hit for if Haidara is on 15K a week here and only offered 5K there then he’s not going to go for that. I’ve no idea how much he is on mind.

I lost a bit of interest in the Premiership last year, probably because we were not in it, and I honestly cannot remember Perez. Can someone give me a summary if he’s any good (this should be interesting 🙂 ).

Morning Ron…have had that problem when using my Opera browser for a long time…you get use to it!

Think there’s bigger issues with this design than clearing my cache

From his career stats, he has scored 48 goals in 7 seasons, never played for Spain. Not sure how that translates to a prolific striker, trying to reignite his international career. Like Martoon, heard his name, but never noticed him on MOTD highlights.

Martoon…I have absolutely no knowledge of what Hairdryer was offered…but he turned it down and I don’t think it’s because he likes it here 😉

It seems clear that to get shot of Rivierre and Saivet, we’re going to take a financial hit. Feel sorry for Krul and Haidara, as injuries have wrecked their careers. All will get nothing like their current wages, so we’re going to have to compensate them to leave. Unlikely we’ll get a fiver for any of them.

If the club didnt they they would increase in value they wouldnt sign them in the first place

Cant have it both ways, Haidara for instance but for a horrific tackle early in his NUFC career would be our first choice LB and worth millions

When is this stupid F***in’ club going to stop pissing about and if RAFA wants Perez let him sign him for £13.5 million – probably squabbling over a million – peanuts for Ashley – wastes more on stupid bets.

But that’s my point. Carr bought some dross to the club and we put long contracts on players we didn’t improve, or they didn’t improve themselves. Not sure re latest players but it’s a dangerous game. It may be because of our location. Not attractive to some, therefore give them lucrative long deals etc

WW I think you overestimate haidara’s natural ability, eg positional sense

Newcastle fans are starting to get desperate,” sign him up” how many times have we heard that? Is he prolific? Err.

So we should assume every player we bring in will fail and offer them short contracts instead? As I said you cant have it both ways

As for Haidara I think u underestimate his potential when he signed but the point wasnt about individual players it was about contract lengths

Saviet rivi haidira please leave our club. Greedy French players taking up the wage bill. Useless Pl players. The Carr legacy

Hanley and good and darlow do the honourable thing and drop a division like murphy

    Lazaar back to Italy please

Mbemba krul and mitro. guys are a lil unlucky but are too inconsisent, let us down 2 seasons ago and you might actually fetch us some transfer fees so I won’t she’d a tear if you go.

Would the team be worse off if we got rid of these 10 players and replaced with a…….gk

Why would we get rid of mitrovic if we signed Perez or any other striker ?? Please tell me because eds going on like we will re coup the money ,, but all tht does is leave us a striker down again if not 2 .. Every team lookin to do well should have atleast 4 strikers ,, get rid of mitro n say Perez comes in ,, tht leaves him and gayle who’s only a game away from doing his hamstring again n being out for 4 months ,, and no body say ayoyze or de Jong coz they ain’t strikers as much as they are good footballers ,, we need gayle mitro Perez and someone else possibly a loan or an old experienced head for a stop gap for this season
