Newcastle Pushing Hard To Bring In Another Player To Fill The Gaps

With being out most of yesterday, this is catch-up time, and we see that Newcastle are after West Ham goalkeeper Adrian as well as who seems to be our new striker target Joselu of Stoke City.

Newcastle is said to be in negotiations with West Ham for the player, and he would be a good buy for Newcastle if only because the 30-year-old Spaniard is experienced and has some good Premier League experience with the Hammers.

Rafa will be trying to get a good striker and a good goalkeeper into the ranks before long with there being only 26 days left in this transfer window.

The Newcastle manager is keen to add another experienced goalkeeper to the ranks, so he has the new signing fighting Rob Elliot and Karl Darlow for a place in the starting line-up next term.

30-year-old West Ham goalkeeper Adrian

This is what his manager Slaven Bilic said about Adrian last week:

“I am confident he will stay but on the other hand, Adrian is ambitious.

“He is very polite, a proper sportsman, a long time a West Ham and the club is very respectful towards him.”

“We want to help him.”  “It’s a challenge between him and Joe, hopefully, he is going to stay.”

It’s good that Adrian is ambitious – he can do well at Newcastle – since we are definitely going places under Rafa.

Rafa and Lee Charnley have their work cut out for them this summer with many senior players still available for transfer.

The Magpies have players like Tim Krul, Henri Saivet, Emmanuel Riviere, Sadio Haidara and others who need to be moved out this summer.

It’s not going to be easy, but they can still get the job done in what’s a tough transfer window for us.

What do you think about Newcastle’s current situation?

Bring on the Spurs game, I’m looming forward to the friendly but they’re not quite the same.

The bairn likes the funbet 888 sponsor on the shirt and none of his mates have one as they’re banned here, do you have the link where to buy a junior shirt with it on.

    Oh No!!!!

Jail’s spotting of the fatal flaw in Jesper’s post about his bairn’s shirts could be

    (dramatic drum roll)

    another “revolving captain” moment

gee I hope he doesn’t take another Scandinavian huff and “do” one for months

The only strikers we’ve been genuinely linked with are :-
    Tammy Abraham 6’4″
    Bas Dost 6’5″
    and now
    Joselu 6’31/2″
Anyone seeing a pattern here ?

Just eight days left, getting excited now. A tough opener there’s no doubt about that, but I fancy our chances.

And still, plenty of time to get rid of some old faces and bring in a couple of new ones. Roll on Sunday… HWTL

It’s a Chinese run website where resellers can sell their products. Always be aware of frauds!

Look for those with good reviews and look for Thai quality in stead of Chinese quality.

Also good that my tablet has got over it’s go slow and I can type in real time and not about a minute between each letter.

Need to now look at Ed’s latest aggregator and how it works ( with Firefox?) or stay with bookmarking his homepage.

Been wondering if Kacper’s well intended and generally well received revamp of Blog have somehow caused an unforeseen issues with Newsnow.

I have used Newsnow Newcastle bookmarked for all Newcastle football news for years but have noticed that they have recently (last few months?) put out message asking me to whitelist their site as I am using an adblocker.

Seems they are reliant on ads as well. If anyone else is using their aggregator can I suggest you use an adblocker if not already doing so. Could otherwise start using but with an adblocker just to mess them about of course. Alternatively stop using as I am now considering as well – seems might hit them where it hurts ?

If you really want to get up NewsNow’s nose
Take a note of their advertisers and fire an e-mail off to them
saying that the fact they advertise with NN would actually stop you
