Turkish outlet Fanatik, are reporting today that Arsene Wenger has made a decision about his available striker Lucas Perez and it’s that he will not allow the Spanish striker to go out on loan for the coming season.
That means that if Newcastle wants to sign Perez, they will have to do a permanent deal.
That’s even though we seem to be short of transfer money this summer – which is strange when you think we didn’t spend one penny in the January transfer window much to Rafa’s annoyance.
Newcastle wants to take Perez on loan but that will not be possible, and the news in Fanatik is that Newcastle is now readying a bid to take Perez to Newcastle permanently.
Newcastelt o make bid for Lucas Perez
Arsenal paid Deportivo £17M for the player last summer but he was not given enough playing time last season and the Spaniard is determined to leave the Gunners this summer.
Deportivo tabled a bid a week or so ago but it was around £9M and much below the £13.4M Arsenal is wanting for the player who scored 7 goals with 5 assists in 21 total appearances for the Gunners last season.
We hope owner Mike Ashley will loosen the purse strings, so we are serious about signing Perez and bid say £12M.
And at the end of the day, we can go the whole hog of £13.4M and give Arsenal what they want for a player who would be perfect for us at Newcastle.
Let’s hope we can get Perez through the door before Sunday.
