Rafa Adds Sixth Player To Squad – Kenedy Will Add Class And Has Something To Prove

While the move is not official yet the Mirror this morning is reporting that Newcastle has agreed to sign bad boy Kenedy from Chelsea for a season long loan deal.

The 21-year-old was sent home from Chelsea’s China tour, and we detail what he did in the report we put out earlier today – we don’t want to keep going on about it.

I did some network consulting business in China while in my final years at IBM, and it really helps to know the culture of the country otherwise you can insult your hosts without even realizing it.

And it’s much easier for a youngster like Kenedy to do that unwittingly – which is what happened.

Kenedy is an excellent young player and will bring a bit of class to the Newcastle side.

Kenedy – a very good signing for Newcastle

He will be Rafa’s sixth signing of the summer, and it seems it was an opportunity that came up that Newcastle moved like greased lightning and have already managed to close the deal – according to the Mirror.

Here’s the current state of the transfers this season with this one marked as pending and we don’t know what the loan fee is for young Kenedy.

Not sure about this signing, seems like a Lazaar like signing. At least it is on loan and he is 21 so doesn’t count to the 25 man squad.
I wonder if he could be used more as a striker than LW or LB. I think LB will be covered by Dummet and Clarke

This young guy could be a good acquisition for us. Rafa will suss out the best position for him.
We now need a lightening strike on someone like Perez from Arsenal to make it a pretty fair transfer window in spite of we – all – know – who.

Kennedy is a strange one, played upfront in Brazil or LW, came to Chelsea and they couldn’t fit him in so put him on at LB in games. He is not cover for dummett, lb is a role which is alien to him as he can’t tackle bit is quick

Runaway, it’s all your fault – your mission in Turkey was to sell Rivierelinho!

In these days of instant social media and quick fire humour I’m not so sure that his misdemeanours are quite as bad as painted. An ill placed comment about “Wake up China” linked to a photo of a sleeping security guard in times of security angst was perhaps not intended to offend Chelsea’s hosts rather more an expression of concern tinged with an attempt at humour with no offence intended. Unfortunate but It happens all the time on blogs !
If he scores against Chelsea then justice will be done, ying and yang I think is how it works.

Let’s hope he progresses like Atsu, although Verona and the prem league are many miles apart. Can someone confirm if Murphy is left or right winger? He needs to be good as the 10 mill wud be handy now to use for Perez. It seems like a lot of our budget has been eaten up when we need a proper striker rather than a guy like Murphy?

Loch, combine that with the usual dose of political correctness and faux hysteria and the kid becomes a monster. That said, Chelsea must have seen great amounts of potential bucks disappear by annoying the Chinese fan base so kenedy is a bit of a laugh in my books.
