Newcastle Fans Have Their Say On Imminent Next Signing – Joselu

One thing that intrigues us with Stoke City’s Joselu is that he had a very good preseason scoring four goals and being one of Stoke’s best players.

But Rafa has somehow persuaded Stoke manager Mark Hughes to sell him to us for £5M – just under a million less than Stoke paid Hannover 96 for him just two years ago.

Joselu didn’t have a good time of it in his first season at the Potters and was on loan last season at Deportivo in Spain.

But Rafa can get the very best out of his fellow countryman and he could even score a good few goals for us this season.

He will become a good buy for Newcastle and maybe we should all get behind the 27-year-old and Rafa and the rest of the players this season.

Now would be a good time to do that.

Newcastle under Rafa Benitez could do a lot better than a lot of our fans are expecting.

Howay The Lads!!

    You requested a Bob Dylan reference, try this one;

In case anyone is interested… re 23-year-old Bristol City left back Joe Bryan. From a good mate who’s A Bristol City die hard…..

“Ahhhh bollocks! I knew he was off as he has a pointless ‘injury’ that has kept him out so far. Yeah mate he’s an academy product. Very good, and promising for the future. Birmingham made a bid for him 2 weeks ago that we rejected. Redknapp called him the best left back in the division when they made a bid. He’s fast, and plays in a LWB role.

He’s a rare one also, as he’s a footballer with brains! His dad is a top private surgeon in bristol, and he went to the poshest private school in the city, came out with good grades but told his dad he wanted to follow his football dreams rather than go to uni, and so stayed with the academy and eventually for a pro contact and been a regular for us the last 3 seasons now.

Premier league may be a big step though at the minute, although he is a promising talent so could be make the step up with the right coaching from Rafa no doubt.”

    Hope that provides some insight.

Behind every beautiful thing, there’s some kind of pain.

How does he know what it’s like to be a Newcastle fan ?

The use of the phrase “before he has even kicked a ball” is unfortunate, after all he is a professional footballer.

People were saying Perez suits the prem more than the championship, so why don’t we try Gamez and Lazaar, rather than spending money on another left back, just a thought.

It looks like we are going to take risks in the transfer market, so may as well take a risk with those two.

If we had to make just one more realistic signing at this stage I would take a chance on Wiltshire. Yes I know he’s a bit of a maverick and has been injury prone but as a footballer he’s a gem and if he was willing to move north I think we would embrace him and would become a terrace hero.
His ability to thread a pass is what we need now more than anything

Lazaar is a funny one, Rafa is all about picking players with the right attitude but he must not be seeing what he wants in training from him. I might be slightly wrong but what was it 5 LBs in 6 seasons at Lpool? Arrons is another one who has been told to be more defensive in his left hand role, which is strange for such an energetic attacker. I would like to see more of both players but I predict it will only be in the Cups.

I think we need another midfield playmaker alongside Shelvey to create space for each other. But not Wheelchair.

    Morning all.
It looks like Rafa is not happy with a lot of his squad.
    The keepers.
    Lazaar and the other unselectables.
    Colback and reported bust ups.

My concern is that things could turn a bit toxic at the club.

According to thatrl Tweet of Mark Douglas’ the price that Ashley’s after is putting potential buyers off.

Southampton new investor sees that club as being valued at about £265m and they’re a well established and managed Prem club with an academy system in place and producing good results.

Ashley owns a club that’s ……… Is he asking too much?

Has anyone got an explanation of what ‘every penny generated by promotion’ actually means? Does it mean 170 million? 170 million less what we made in the Championship? 170 million after wages and all kinds of club running expenses are taken out first? Does it mean Rafa can only access the money when it actually comes in, probably after some months but hopefully before the January window closes so he can finally buy a striker worthy of this club to save our bacon and fend off another relegation? What DOES it mean? Ashley has a lot off in a soft interview with no hard questions and even less satisfactory answers. Only the class and personality of Benitez is keeping the ship afloat right now. I think Mike is intimidated by someone with goals and motivation you can’t stack up at a casino table which is why they are not talking. Shameful, Mike.
