Newcastle Close To Transfer Breakthrough – Several Players Finally Set To Leave Club

One of the problems we’ve has this summer is that we haven ‘t been able to sell some players early in the transfer window which gives us the money to bring in some players.

Last summer we sold Andros Townsend, and Gini Wijnaldum and those two players alone gave Rafa another £38M to spend in last summer’s transfer market.

No such luck this summer.

But there is news today in the Star that we could be seeing some players leave Newcastle in the next few days.

The report identifies Emmanuel Riviere, Massadio Haidara, Tim Krul and Jack Colback as the players who are now likely to leave Newcastle in the next several days.

But no more details on which clubs the players will join or anything else for that matter.although we expect Tim Krul to join Portuguese giants Benfica and that would be a good move for Tim, who has been a loyal servant at Newcastle for 12 years.

We do expect Tim Krul to join Portuguese giants Benfica and that would be a good move for Tim, who has been a loyal servant at Newcastle for 12 long years.

Loyal servant Tim Krul set to finally leave Newcastle

If that happens, it would be an excellent time for us and allow us to bring in up to four news players – including 27-year-old Stoke City striker Joselu who we finally signed this morning.

We’re not sure how much Newcastle will get in for those four players but probably £5M each for Tim Krul and Jack Colback.

If we are paid in cash, we will be able o use the money to buy news players.

Maybe we can even afford the 13.4M for Arsenal striker Lucas Perez.

What do you think?

daily star – it must be true!!! great if it is though. Used to love Krul but sadly he’s not what he was and distribution still woeful. I’d still be amazed if we can really find buyers for haidara, riviere and colback.
Diame should be in the departure lounge too along with saviet.

If Tim gets a move to Benfica and the deal to go with it then he deserves this. He’s passionate about NUFC and has worn the shirt well. Of late some nasty injuries some caused by foul play have not gelled his cause but he’s fought back and with the sunshine in Portugal will I’m sure enjoy his new challenges and be the better for it.

Likewise Haidara was set back by nasty foul play and injury and deserves to be playing again with renewed confidence.

Colback will I’m sure be a prudent buy but for who remains unclear.

Rivière – can we have our money back ?

Good luck to all. We move on.

Sell the lot and buy Perez. No brainer. Then with Joselu, Perez and Gayle we can afford to offload Mitro which could then release further cash for a midfield provider.
It’s all about wheeling and dealing for this club seeing as our ‘benevolent’ owner would rather sit on his cash
than spend it on the club he owns.

    catchy

when we wouldn’t previously pay an extra million or 2 for our top targets we
ended up giving great contracts to lesser players. Go figure!!!

No one will pay what we do to those 4 who could easily just sit on their butts
    and keep collecting wages.

Having to sell so we might be able to afford 13.4 mill? With 50,000 average attendance & 75 mill in fees for 3 players sold to Spurs Liverpool & Crystal Place in last year there is something wrong with the running of this club. Outbid by Swansea etc & looking for cheap loan players is not the way to go. Surely if we really are short of money any financial company in the world would finance 100mil with the security of the monster payment just for being in Premier

Krul is the best shot stopper we have, I agree his distribution is awful though. I would imagine he’s quite a high earner though and that is why we are getting rid, also in the last year of his contract. Can’t see getting high fees for any of those we want out. Colback probably has the highest market value and i’d be surprised if we get anything close to 5mil for him. Decent championship player, might see him back at the mackems

    totally agree,

and while i’m not a fan of Ashley, i don’t mind what is happening right now.
the premiership is a huge bubble in the football world, Stoke paying 45million for Gilfi with salary to boot, if it doesn’t work out for this player for what ever reason, stokes future is stuck for as long as they have this player they will never be able to shift.
Rafa knows the score, but is playing the good cop bad role. going out and telling the world we have 70 million to spend on players, is just an invertation for agents to come and pick your pockets and sell you chinese knock offs.

we have signed 6 players, all with decent ability for good money. 3 clubs will be relegated this season and panick because there wage structure will mean no one wants there so called top players outside of the premiership, and teams in the prem will only wanting to add quality.

If Colback is off and Shelvey suspended, we will look very light in centre mid unless Rafa decides Mbemba can cover there if needed.

Assuming Colback goes, we’ll likely need a lb, cm, no 10 and striker in. Ideally.
