Rafa Benitez Talks About The Threat Of Huddersfield Town

Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez had just given his press conference for the game at Huddersfield Town that kicks off early Sunday afternoon.

Huddersfield did really well last Saturday when they easily beat Crystal Palace away 3-0 – so they will be full of confidence against Newcastle.

The next game is of course always the most important for Rafa, and he admits Huddersfield will be a tough test for us on Sunday.

This is some of what Rafa has said during his press conference which has just finished:

“We know the way to move forward is to keep doing our jobs every day.”

“The league is nine months. We compare it with a marathon, and we’re just starting.”

“Huddersfield did really well the other day, and it will be a tough game, for sure.”

“What I have to do is concentrate on what we can do now, and make sure the players are ready for this game.”

“I think we know how they play and they know how we play.”

“If we do well, we’ll have more confidence for the next games.”

Let’s support Rafa and the lads 100% this season – whatever happens.

You never know – we may do (a lot) better than the National press is predicting.

For Me the most depressing reality of the current state of football in England is that it happened too late for us. We’re we lucky, the big money shift would have happened when we were a force in the prem, and helped us solidify. On this season, I’m hopeful but without strengthening our forwards with a proven goalscorer I see us struggling. Draws don’t secure safety, wins do.

Add Denis Praet to the list now and cross off Perez as it looks like he wants go go home to Spain so I guess Jolelu was always our target and Perez just a smoke screen.
