Benitez Considering Bringing Andy Carroll Back To Newcastle

The Mirror is reporting today that Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez is considering bringing Gateshead-born and former Newcastle striker Andy Carroll back to Tyneside on a season-long loan deal.

Andy has had a terrible time of it with injuries since he was sold to Liverpool for £35M back in January of 2011 and he is out injured at the moment.

So he maybe can play for half a season each season because of his injuries, but when he plays he’s still a top striker and when Andy played for the Hammers last term he was outstanding.

But this must be a Sunday because we cannot see why West Ham United would want to loan out Carroll this season, especially when they have started the season with two defeats.

They were a different team last season when Andy was in the starting lineup so why would they want to lose him on loan this term?

Andy Carroll – just scored – yes

We would put this report down to just being two weekends left in the summer transfer window and after all – it is a Sunday.

There have been reports about Andy returning to Newcastle ever since he left us in January 2011 which was the busiest this site has ever been in the ten years it’s been active – January 31st, 2011.

There’s surely little to no chance of the Hammers loaning out Andy to any club this summer.

They need the Geordie striker themselves in the Hammers’ starting lineup.

What do you think?

He’s always injured, sentiment can’t play a part in the decision – I’d hate to think what his wages are too.

    It’s a no from me.

before signing Joselu, the trend on Eds WLD pole was leaning towards draw first then win 2nd, then in comes Joselu.
What is strang about this is most teams i see put forward don’t even have Joselu starting, so why the sudden flip.
    curious

Andy Carroll’s wages too high and he’s always injured so it’s not happening.
Off topic I’ve just watched Rafa’s interview with Sky and it’s obvious he’s very comfortable at Newcastle. It’s also obvious that Ashley fears him unlike previous managers who were scared of Ashley!
Rafa is so clever after years at the top we now have someone in charge who is worthy of this huge job. In Rafa we trust! HWTL!

Totally agree Moonraker aka James Bond.

Also Rafa has history with owners and playing them, if he is indeed running the club as an autonomous outfit then that’s a big help to us – despite what the fickle fans think.
