Newcastle Fans Swarm To Twitter – Have Their Say On Second Defeat

We lost our second successive game in the Premier  League today against fellow promotion side Huddersfield by 1-0.

But this game could have gone either way and we had enough chances to have won it – but it was very close.

Once Mooy put the home side ahead after 50 minutes Newcastle pressed well and created chances but we just couldn’t score – for the second successive game.

But let’s not overreact too much.

We also lost the first two games last season and we’re sure Rafa will be able to sort things out – so we must keep supporting the manager.

That’s something Rafa asked for specifically at the start of the season.

Who Was Newcastle's Best Player At Huddersfield?

You’d think we were bottom of the league in January after reading this blog.

Everyone on here already knows you like to be the bearer of bad news. But seriously? Spreading that already? Pathetic.

Talk of folk giving up there season tickets makes me laugh tbh . Ffs we played well against spuds till jonjo went off and lost away to udders and the toys are oot the pram already. Sjp will be a better place without some so called support if thats how they really feel imho. Its only fair to feel down after a defeat but the melt down is slighly overkill dont ya think.

There’s many losers here who thinks everything is still rosy with 2 defeats in a row.. And nothing to panic. What a bunch of fools.

These are the same fools who continuously pack 52,000 in the stadium and then complains about Ashley shafting everyone.

    No wonder we are doomed.

It’s a fact that we are going to be relegated? How do you work that one out? We’re not even in the bottom three now… Please get your head checked mate.

Newcastle owner Mike Ashley will need to have another look down the back of his sofa for some cash to back manager Rafa Benitez or he is set to lose hundreds of millions of his beloved pounds.

This side, as it stands, will be relegated back to the Championship unless two or three quality players are brought in before the transfer deadline closes.

No 70% discount deals from the bargain bucket or loans but genuine Premier League pedigree players that can help Benitez do his job and establish the club back in the top flight.

How dare you call people who pay to support the club you claim to love losers when you dont bother to turn up yourself. Why are we in our eyes the reason we are doomed ?

    Cmon now ilovetoon (ironic name)

Calling us losers for supporting our team? Fans go to the games to support there team, for enjoyment. That’s what the whole sport is about. Not some cult against an owner that is failing. I don’t like Ashley at all, but boycotting this early into the season is just going to kill any hope of staying in the league. We need our players to be positive about the season, to show togetherness… That’s the key in a team that isn’t strong enough to compete with quality alone. Fans are important because we need to let the players know we are with them. Not showing up is going to hurt us even more.

If we are still bumping along the bottom after 6 games, then its time to be mildly concerned. If we fail to pull clear of the bottom 6 after 12 games then its probably time to (quietly) start worrying. Problem is this transfer window malarkey creates an artificial sense of spend, spend, spend – which I guess it is designed to do. I must admit to enjoying far more the one camera BBC coverage of the South Shields FA Cup game against Bridlington – including a blinding goal by ex-Mag Matty Pattison.

Stop allowing yourselves to be wound up by other posters! JC

Why are we keeping Elliott over Krul? He is awful at clearing the ball. We are losing a world class keeper to keep this one?

Of the promoted teams we have spent the least and we are the biggest of the 3 clubs. That should be worrying.

There wasn’t really a lot in it truth be told. They just took their chance, aided and abetted by some awful defending from us.

The same people were predicting league 1 this time last year.

It’s not really ideal to be missing three players from the starting 11 in the second game, but it is what it is.

One defeat really does bring the badness out in a small amount of so called fans .
I bet they dont go to the games and dont pay a subscription to watch our club.
Yet seem to believe there opinion is worth more than others. I can understand true fans being upset with today but cant believe some posters are fans of nufc @all. I am away for now got things to do hopefully the kiddiewinkles have got it out of there system by then.

Some fans on here needs to go to the opticians, that was a piss pot poor performance to say the least, we got away with it in the championship but will not get away with it in this league, we can’t afford to wait for the opposition to make a mistake for us to attack we haven’t got the players, apart from Ritchie and Atsu attacking it’s been awful, that was a dire performance and unless he changes formation and stop playing Perez in the no10 role then its going to continue.

On a more positive note thought joselu did canny when he came on…merino did ok but made a few mistakes and few miss placed passes but seemed betta near end of the game….maybe just took his time to catch the pace of the english premier game..but no doubt needs to improve, thought mbemba had a decent game even tho he looked a little awkward in first half.

Steady now, 2 games and the panic buttons are busy. Drop Perez and Gayle to the bench move Merino into the number 10 position with Joselu up front with Mitch to come on with Murphy as back up. Today we were a little unlucky and better finishing would have nicked at least a point.
Remember last season, 2 games 0 points, lets not panic just yet plenty of noise at St James please.

That was an abysmal performance. Trying to paint it any other is beyond ridiculous. Raf I’m sure will have serious doubts about several players. Too many think they’re still in the Championship.
I’m a fan of Gayle, but totally ineffective describes him here.Perez was even worse. You can’t miss chances like that and call yourself a Premier striker. Too many headless chickens when we went 0-1 down.
    Same happened last week.
    It MUSN’T happen again.
I’ve already put a tenner on a quick return to Championship going after that shocking display against the favourites to go down
And they WILL be among those going down.
Only I now believe we’ll be with them unless SERIOUS steps are taken, after that mess today, especially the dreadful attackers
