This is a follow-on to the news today that Tim Krul is on his way to Brighton for a medical today and there is a BBC report is that we have bid for 27-year-old Napoli goalkeeper Rafael Cabral.
Rafa Benitez can now bring in another goalkeeper which he’s been wanting to do all summer.
But he couldn’t do that until Tim left the club, otherwise, we would still have Tim’s wages as part of the wage bill and it wouldn’t have made any financial sense.
One of the goalkeepers we have been linked with is Napoli’s second string Rafael Cabral who has been the backup to Pepe Reina.

Here is what BBC World Service broadcaster Steve Crossman has just tweeted.
Everton have made a bid for Napoli defender Ivan Strinic and Newcastle have made a bid for Napoli keeper Rafael Cabral

Cabral has appeared 45 times for Napoli and and has three full caps for Brazil.
And we suppose Rafa Benitez must rate the goalkeeper as something better than we have in Rob Elliot and Karl Darlow at the moment.
What do you think?
