Tim Krul To Have Medical Today At Brighton Prior To Loan Move

It looks like there is a genuine possibility that Tim Krul will be going on loan to Brighton & Hove Albion for this season.

The deal came up only today, and the south coast club are obviously taking advantage of the fact that Tim has only one year left on his contract at Newcastle and therefore will be a free agent next summer.

Presumably, if Tim has a good season at Brighton, then they could buy him for nothing next summer.

Tim Krul – loan move to Brighton

This looks like a good deal for Brighton, but Newcastle also get Tim’s  wages of almost £60K/week off the wage bill.

Here’s a tweet put out by Brighton & Hove Albion Argus reporter Andy Naylor.

Newcastle must now try to get another goalkeeper in today.

But we may have until January to do that with Freddie Woodman not scheduled to go out on loan until then to get first team experience.

Comments welcome.

    news just in:
Everyone at Mikey’s PR firm have been called in. They’re working hard to manufacture a deadline day media ride, which leaves Newcastle fans happy and relieved that they’ve managed to get southampton’s third choice left back over the line on a loan. NUFC paying the bill as Mikey shuffles his wallpaper and slips a few quid into Harry’s dog’s account.

Tim Krul on his way to Brighton. Benitez was a little miffed he got contract extension last summer (until 2018) & never had him in plans.

I watch Noah first hand when he was at Dortmund. If it wasnt for Pulisic hed be starting. It would be great to link him back up with Merino.

I didn’t realise our club was so cash strapped, hard for Rafa a man with ambition, us as fans are used to mediocre and most have accepted it.
    Shame.

Newcastle in line for everybody else’s bargain basement misfits!
Don’t worry Rafa will knock ’em into shape IF he’s still with us.

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are battling it out for the signature of Newcastle United midfielder Mohamed Diame. He would cost around £5m

If i was Rafa i would leave . he does,nt need this shit. An owner who treats everyone with contempt, no ambition, A man who lies and is laughing at the geordie public. Benitez will find another club who matches his ambitious, Newcastle United are not that club.

Rafa we all love and respect you, we know your a decent and honest man, we also know your a world class manager who has ambition, we know you wanted to make Newcastle into a first class team who could compete in the premier league, just to let you know we totally understand if you decide to leave Rafa, Ashley has deceived and shafted us the fans for the last 10 years, we know he has lied and shafted you now also Rafa, when you decide to go Rafa, we all thank you for all your great work at our club, and thank you for giving us hope, and for all the fans daring to dream, but as always Ashley has sucked the life out of this great club. HWTL.
