Rafa Springs A Few Surprises In His List of 25 Premier League Players

Newcastle have announced their 25 man squad, and it doesn’t include any players who are under 21 at the club who can play for the Premier league side this season.

It does contain a few surprises in that some of the players Rafa wanted to sell – like Henri Saivet, Sadio Haidara, and Jack Colback have all been included in the 25.

Now they will not be training with the U23s, so we will see Rafa bring this season’s squad together on Monday morning along with some players who are under 21 that he wants training with the squad, and he will get on with it until January.

We expect Rafa to be professional, but the die is cast and he now knows he cannot trust owner Mike Ashley and will want to leave Newcastle this summer.

Rafa Benitez – in happier times

He will get plenty of offers especially since the news is clear that he’s unhappy with Ashley.

Here are the 25 players we have for the Premier league at least until January.

But the final day of the window on Thursday has brought an end to the dream we all had of Rafa making Newcastle great again.

It’s not going to happen.

That’s thanks to owner Mike Ashley, who seems to screw things up at Newcastle all the time.

He’s taken the joy away from Newcastle fans – once again.

Comments welcome.

By all means, any man or woman is welcome to the task. Personally, I’m sick of the sight of it! Haha

Think Charnley is an incompetent liar sack him asap that would be a good start ready for January. We are going to need to do some quick business then and he is clearly incapable.

Ed your been a typical ‘hack’ stirring it as well as the chronicle and and southern journo’s, Yes Rafa may be disappointed and Ashley is not to be trusted, but why not start writing positive things,

You say you yourself have to be positive, then you come out with a load of negativity in your blog.

You trying to say Rafa would trust Gold and Sullivan – not a hope in hell, so please drop this ‘he will be gone in the summer’.

Had a panic on when I realised there was no Mikel Merino on that list. And no Woodman either. Both are -21 though, so neither need to be registered in the 25 man squad. Phew 🙂

West Ham sold their ground, and with it their history. I don’t know why their fans aren’t more concerned about where that money went. A 99 year free lease at the London Stadium trumps all that it seems. Grubby business the epl.

    Mister Tuff

I won’t resort to quoting posters without saying who as his your modus operandi but in case you were meaning my reference to Rafa’s second language yesterday I was of course referring to Rafa speaking to press. If you weren’t referring to me why not simply say who you are referring to – avoids any confusion. Ah but that isn’t your intention.

You and I have previous and I have little wish to converse with such a childish person who should know better. Please leave me out of any of you little rants and musings and I will?l quiet happily ignore you.

Again in case repetition might help you – say who you mean for the avoidance of doubt.

Comedy gold and you couldn’t make it up yet again haha ha

Why wouldn’t rafa go to west ham?
On paper they have a better more experienced squad, they’ll allow him money to spend and not mess him about. If you think it won’t be on rafas mind then I personally think you’re mistaken. His patience with our club is wearing thin imo with some of his recent comments and wouldn’t be surprised at all if he did leave. I for one will also be chucking my season ticket if they don’t start backing him and spending some bloody money!
I expect more losses than wins this season but just hope we get enough points on the board.

Well I think I’ll leave this blog as it’s full of negativity and is not helping NUFC at all
I think Ed is now in the process of joining all the muck raking journalists who spend all day slagging off our team

JimmySmith – spot on and the true West Ham fans have had the heart and soul of their club and community ripped away from them. Even worse is that their club crest and badges had the word “London” added to the logo to remind tourists but not fans where they’re bp based ! The only justification for that is to reduce the shirt to tourist tat memorabilia to appeal to the one off tourist supporters who want a souvenir of old London town after their tick box visit to The London Stadium and Madam Tussauds. West Ham are a London franchise be holding to Sky but second tier after Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs. Gold and co will sell up probably to the same investors we aspire to which is ironic but if West Ham are very lucky they might get Ashley if he sells up here. Perfict.

You never know they might have the attitude that they have nothing to lose and everything to gain and go out and smash everyone in their sights. I bloody hope so for them and Rafa but not for Cashley. Greedy Bas###d ! Your are a typical cockney southern Jessie full of shit ! The sooner you have gone the better for us all. Newcastle UNITED !

Read something yesterday on Merson’s grading of transfer window that West Ham have only spent £4m net over the last 4 years, I wish people would stop going on about the window, it was what it was, I expected no different and think we have brought in some quality, whilst clearing a fair bit of deadwood. No, it wasn’t perfect, far from it but even those teams we see as ‘beneath’ us have more financial clout than us, in the short term at least. The Swansea signing of Sanches was an anomaly and comes from Clement’s relationship with Ancelotti. I am a little surprised we didn’t get a few loans in from Rafa’s previous clubs but apart from Liverpool, how many of them has he left on good terms with? We were not the best in the market by any stretch of the imagination but neither were we worst. Brighton have spent a fair whack of money on absolutely no-one, Arsenal have bought a forward and lost arguably their best player, Bournemouth bought a decent keeper, an over-rated and untested young defender and an over-the-hill forward. Supporting this team has never been an easy ride, even during the ‘successes’ but my god it’s never dull.

I would like Rafa to consider resources at his disposal and try to integrate Mitrovic, Haidara in this fairly decent team.

Gutted that Ashley has not given Rafa his full support – no matter what anyone else says on here I can’t see Rafa staying long term now- too many broken promises from the owner!

Wishing Tim Krul all the best at Brighton – Good luck Bonny Lad!

Can anyone confirm when the club will receive the PL TV rights money. Is it in May 2018?

If so, then we will have another transfer window, (January) when not a lot will happen.

Also I’m just wondering if Mr Ashley might just pocket the money and sell up to a new owner.
