Moreno Sounds Like Rafa – Players Must Show Same Passion And Intensity At Swansea

After losing our first two games in the Premier League, as we did late season too, we got back on track two weeks ago with a great 3-0 win against West Ham, and we looked a good team in the second half even if we don’t have obvious big stars in the team.

Well, at least none that cost us mega bucks to sign – not yet anyway.

Rafa Benitez showed how good a manager he is by forming a team and getting the very best out of players he has at the club, and he will continue to do that this season.

That’s one reason we are still upbeat about the season.

Assistant manager Francisco de Miguel Moreno (Moreno) at his press conference today – when he filled in for Rafa Benitez – expects Swansea to be confident at the Liberty Stadium.

Moreno gave a good press conference today – we must show passion and intensity

This is some of what Paco said during his press conference today, as he spoke in good English and addressed Swansea and the injury to Chancel Mbemba – which is not as bad as first thought:

“Swansea are doing well. They finished last season doing very, very well. They are a good side – there is no doubt about that,”

“They have a good manager, so it is going to be a tough game for us.”

“Their momentum looks good, but after our game (against West Ham), I think our momentum can start to be good.”

“So, we have to continue and be sure we have the same commitment, the same passion and the same intensity we showed in the last game.”

“That is our priority now.”

“Obviously, we are managing different options (for the Chancel Mbemba injury), but we are still to decide. We are training with different options, as well.”

“Hopefully, we have a solution. It’s not a massive problem for us, I think. We have enough players to play there and we will put out a strong team, for sure.”

We need a win on Sunday and that will two wins in a row and will raise the spirits of Geordie fans everywhere.

How Will Newcastle Fare At Swansea City?

A draw wouldn’t be a disaster but here’s hoping for another three points at Swansea – Haway the Lads and Haway Rafa – we are so lucky to have him as our team manager!

    Essex:

I think we will play both, with Mereno being the more advanced and Shelvey retaining his “deep playmaker” role.

    Ciaran:

You think we will lose? Against a porous defence that almost took Swansea down?

I predict 3-0 to the toon.

If I read this right you’re saying that the BBC are claiming that they were right to highlight the Mitro incident because he didn’t appeal ?
But they highlighted this on MOD before the FA even made the charge the following week.
So they expected Mitro to appeal in advance for something he hadn’t been booked for or sent off for or even charged because he felt it was his duty ?

Think we should rename the MOD pundits “pre-cogs” ( from the Tom Cruise film Minority Report ) because they seem to be able to predict the future for the FA

Or do they work for the FA as informers or snitches ?
Must have been in Slitherin House for school that lot.

Wonder if Costa or Rooney or Deli Catessen or Kane will appeal in advance this week just to cover themselves in advance. Thought not.

Yes, seems match of the day, in response to complaints from Newcastle fans, have said they have been proved right by Mitro’s admission (by which they mean non-appeal). Mitro has actually come out and said it wasn’t given as a foul by the ref and that this sort of thing happens ten times a match. This statement from match of the day ignores the question posed by many of the questioning fans: “why this one and not others”. I feel strongly that the FA need to come out and explain the process for identifying retrospective incidents. Because it seems to me that they come in response to a media trial and conviction.

On being asked by the chronic why they chose to highlight the incident, the following response was given:

“Disciplinary proceedings are a matter for the FA but the fact that Aleksandar Mitrovic has accepted a charge of violent conduct would suggest it was editorially correct to highlight the incident on Match of the Day.”

Mitrovic is protesting his innocence yet he excepted the charge i just wonder why

But if a player does not accept the charges then he can be punished harder if found guilty…and they almost always do…regardless

It should really be handled differently all this retrospective nonsense

Looks as though the Blackpool owner’s going all out to beat Ashley to the title of worst football club owner.

And it seems that the English Football League’s looking at the fit and proper owners rules. They’re concerned about owners’ behaviour after they’ve bought a club. Maybe fans groups could press the EPL to do likewise?

…with all these super rich foreign people who are white washing their dirty money in football leagues and the domestic newly rich that wants to either just have a bit too much fun or just take financial advantage of a a football club and its fans there should be implemented some rules as in Germany!

I’m not gonna say ‘do you really want me to tell you…?’

    I’ll just tell you!

It’s a nicely packaged little photo book of the decades of nufc. Nice quality packaging. And a wallet for your season ticket.

My other half actually said ‘the club have sent you a right load of sh!te’. But what does she know. It’s nice. Me and me sis (who i go with) thought it was canny!

Soz for spoiling for those who haven’t got theirs.
