Messages From Newcastle Fans Go Out To Rafa

Rafa has already thanked Newcastle fans for all their many get well messages as he tries to recover in time to at least be on the touchline tomorrow at Swansea City.

This is will be a good test of the professionalism and passion of our players who need to play well if Rafa is not at the game.

No doubt the manager will be in fairly constant communication with the coaches during the game if he is still at his home in the Wirral.

Swansea are a decent team and they signed some very decent players during the transfer window so it will be a good test for the side.

Rafa Benitez – Newcastle manager

Here are some typical message from Newcastle fans to Rafa.

    Bobbybee,
I doubt very much Rafa Benitez will see steering this lot to a top ten finish as his greatest achievement in the PL, I think he will be bitterly disappointed with the situation and will go somewhere that shares his ambition, as he said himself every manager wants to improve.

As the build up to tomorrow’s match begins in earnest I would like to suggest that we keep the banter with our Swansea fan here on the blog light hearted and at a very basic level.

Welshie is undoubtedly a Swansea fan through and through but I think he genuinely has a soft spot for us as his second team. Having said that , he is a man of extremely low intelligence which he can’t help, but basically he’s a harmless chap and adds a bit of fun to the blog in my opinion.

If we remember to keep the exchanges with him light hearted and not too intellectually challenging he will respond accordingly and can be quite good fun. Plenty of references to sheep and sheep shagging seem to be the way forward with him as he can relate to this without getting too confused and upset. If we remember to make some allowances for him and his obvious deficiencies particularly Jail For Ashley , who incidentally is the man Welshie would like to be, then we’ll be OK as basically he’s a game lad who takes most things on the chin ( cough cough) win lose or draw.

    swallocks,
I think you’re giving him too much credit by saying he has very low intelligence, he’ll take that as a compliment and will be now telling his mates that he’s not as daft as they think he is, he’s got proof.

From West Wales, but lived in Swansea for a few years and even went to watch The Swans a few times, at the Vetch, usually in the 4th Division.
Remember being there v Hull, some moons ago. Think it was 1998, when both teams were very close to the bottom of the league!
I find it strange that a ‘Swans fan’ would be on a blog of a different team, other than Cardiff’s!
Maybe WG9 is actually Cyril? Now, he was a character – remember seeing him in a cabriolet, on the Kingsway, the main pub/club street about 2am.He used to wind up opposition fans!

I think the only change today will be Lejuene for mbemba with Clark moving out to left back.

    Elliott
    Manquillo lascelles Lejuene Clark
    Hayden Moreno
    Ritchie Perez Atsu
    Joselu

This allows us to play the same flow and gameplay tactics as the West Ham game as the lack of preparation without having Rafa at training in the short time we had to prepare after the internationals. I’m hoping for the win but would take a draw. This is the first game for Swansea since they’ve made 3 important signings on deadline day so hopefully they haven’t had time to implement a game plan considering Clucas was the only one of the 3 not on international duty so will they try squeezing Sanches and Bony into their tactical gameplay for this game or has it came too soon for them. For me the jury is still out on Sanches, great for Portugal at the euros but shocking for Bayern last year, I wonder which one Swansea got!

Anyway, getting away from Man from Harlech and back to tomorrows game, with the situation regarding injuries to our full backs (Dummett and Yedlin), I wouldnt be surprised to see one of these 3 alternatives:

1…..Rafa plays a back 4 with Manquillo reverting to left back and young Sterry at right back. Yedlin will not be match fit and couldnt possibly play 90 minutes plus.

2……Rafa plays a back 3 of Lascelles Clark and Lejeune. As Lejeune probably wouldnt last more than an hour, revert to a back 4 and bring on Yedlin for Lejeune for the last half hour.

3…..Play 3 at the back with Hayden and Merino in defensive midfield. Replace Lejeune after an hour with Hayden moving into a central defensive position and Shelvey coming on to partner Merino.

Of course, changes can be made in accordance with how the game is proceeding

    KRUL

Good team and minimal changes to the side that beat West Spam.

However, lets not be mistaken here. A Swansea team under Clement is not to be under estimated despite losing 2 of their best players.

I rate Clement very highly and if we were to lose Rafa in the future, he would be up there near the top of my list of replacements

expat at 21 doubt there is any way they will play no 1 with sterry who has hardly played since a long injury and was rated the worst player on the team against forest.i expect them to play a back four.whoever they play i hope they can learn from the falcons who were poor against sale hung in there and scored a late winner.

Not much difference to the high boot on Mbemba – kick in the head – but this results in a red. Must be coz their players are more valuable then.
