Rafa Benitez Takes The Advice Of His Doctors

It will be a test of the coaching staff and our players today at Swansea since Rafa has decided not the take the helicopter trip down to Swansea today as he tries to fully recover from the surgery he is said to have had last Monday.

Initially, we were told the surgery was a week last Friday, but assistant manager Moreno said at the press conference last Friday it was on the previous Monday.

Since he was returning to training the next day, it must have been very minor surgery.

But the surgery, however minor, has caused Rafa some pain and medically he’s made the right decision.

We hope he’s back to coaching the team in the next few days to get the lads ready for the home game against Stoke on Saturday afternoon.

It would also be nice to get something out of the game today at Swansea.

Here are the tweets from Newcastle United confirming Rafa will miss today’s game.

Maybe you can send Rafa a get-well-soon message using the hash tag #GetWellSoonRafa.

You could also mention we want him to stay at Newcastle for a long time …

Comments welcome.

Anybody know of any links to be able to watch the match? There was a site called soccer streams.net but it’s been taken down. It seems to be getting harder to watch footy on the sly these days, doesn’t it?

He isn’t really recovering from illness, he’s been abducted by aliens.
He had an operation. It’s now infected. End of.
No doubt he’ll have the remote in one hand and his mobile in another and he’ll be keeping everybody on their toes. If the camera shows the dugout we’ll probably see Paco talking to him! 🙂

It just gets better for Frank De Boer. What a start to a game.

DeBoer chose badly picking Palace. He likes to play expansive football and all the players at Palace have been recruited by long ball specialists going back years. Pulis, Pardew, Allardyce have signed players suited to long ball. They’d need an entire new squad to play the type of football he wants them too. Also Parish chose badly going for a complete change of style. He should have known they don’t have the right players for that.

    cricfree dot sc slash football-live-stream
Today’s game is listed on the cricfree schedule. It’s usually reliable with at least three or four feeds to choose from if one goes down.

Only gonna get harder to watch football without paying for the privilege as well. Sky have decided enough is enough and are slowly shutting the sites down. I suppose when you think how much they pay for it you can’t blame them either. They’re even clamping down on people using periscope now.
With limited away tickets though, I think they should find a way of streaming games and on a pay per play basis. I don’t think it would effect gates because nothing beats being there and fans will still turn up regardless.
If each customer picked a team they support, there must be a way of allowing them to follow at least away games during the season for a fixed price, even if it was just restricted to away games. See how that worked and if it has no adverse effect on gates they could consider home games too.

    Interesting comment from Lazaar:

“My signing for Benevento is the end of a nightmare.

“At Newcastle I never played and over a whole year Rafa Benitez never gave me an explanation.

“All he said was that I was a player more suited to Serie A or the Premier League, rather than the Championship.”

“It’s a shame because he really wanted me.

“I was about to sign for Fiorentina when he called me and told me to go to him.

“They were just words, what a disappointment.”

I don’t have a season ticket and getting to the match is difficult (health issues) anyway but I have a Now TV box and can pay £6.99 per game (last season not sure if it’s still the same price or not as I’ve not used that facility so far this season) It’s not too difficult to set up the box and If Newcastle are on twice within 7 days I buy a weekly pass at £10.99 otherwise it’s a day pass at £6.99 – Hope this is helpful

I pay for bt sports and have my brothers sign in details for sky and get to watch all the skysports via the bairns xbox it costs him a fiver a month extra for my code i think. Its well worth getting the sky app if you can get someone to give you there details and it is not hooky like kodi.
I only use kodi for away games that are not on uk tv. Hth 🙂

You could always pay for sky instead of paying for a season ticket. But their again, most of you would rather pay for a season ticket than your mortgage or rent

    Watching the Palace game..
I remember there was quite a clamour to get De Boer to manage here.
He’s on borrowed time at CP already I suspect. His team are looking clueless, and the players are not exactly busting a gut for him. His stock is spiralling downwards since those links a while ago.

It’s good if your team is on sky sport and you just want to pay as little as possible….but don’t forget to cancel after you’ve watched the match otherwise I think after 24hrs the subs are automatically taken from your account….hope this helps
