No Changes For Tough Game At Brighton & Hove Albion

Rafa Benitez has just announced his team for the tough game at the Amex Stadium against Brighton & Hove Albion this afternoon.

Here’s the team as just put out on the Newcastle Twitter account.

It’s not often that Rafa plays an unchanged side but he’s done that today after the excellent home win against Stoke City last Saturday.

This is only the 12th time in Rafa’s Premier League career he has played an unchanged side.

Chris Hughton – Brighton manager

Over 60% of fans think we will win this game.

We hope they’re right.

Prediction – A hard fought 1-0 win for the toon, with the goal coming in the last 25 minutes

A win is a win is a win ? and we’ll take them any way they come, right?

Ideally I’d love to see Perez dropped and Shelvey put in there, that’s a decent trio, of him, Merino and Hayden, once someone is getting up to support.. I presume Joselu.

Well actually ideally I’d put Ritchie number 10, Atsu and Aarons on the wings, but don’t see that happening..

Anyway, looking forward to it.. Toon Toon!!

Ohh and please have a gander at my shoes if you can ?

    100% Premium Leather Shoes

Total = £39.95 including Global courier delivery with a tracking number & parcel insurance / Paypal payment

Big brands are easily £200 for this quality.. which was the whole point in launching the Label in the first place, to offer people better quality and value.

Big brands have been ripping us off for too long.

    Cheers

If the lads play with the same concentration and intensity that they produced last week this will be a good win for the Toon, I reckon 0-2. Rafa will have them control the game as usual, giving them more possession but restricting their chances.

So tempting to play Shelvey and Merino but probably the right decision. Perez needs a goal but his work rate off the ball is unquestionable so until we buy an upgrade he justifies his place. Let’s not get carried away but I can see us getting something here. I’m back for the Liverpool game next week so I hope we can hang on to this unbeaten recorded a little longer?

Just a thought on the Number 10 debate: Merino can dribble, finish and pick a sweet pass. How about him at 10 and Shelvey in midfield?
