Rafa Happy At Support – Newcastle Praised By NBC Studio Team

The Newcastle fans unfolded a huge banner at the Gallowgate end in honor of manager Rafa Benitez yesterday.

The banner was in Spanish and read as follows:

“We will follow you everywhere, we’ll always have your back. In spite of the lies they tell us, we’ll never doubt you. We are with you.”

That’s just in case Rafa ever thinks he’s not appreciated by the fans of Newcastle United.

Thanks again to the Gallowgate Flags group who keep coming up with these great banners.

The NBC team yesterday in the US were full of praise for Newcastle fans and the club in general and said they had missed coming to St. James’ Park last season when we were down below winning the second division.

The banner unfolded in support of Rafa Benitez yesterday

Studio host Rebecca Lowe before going to the interview with Rafa before the game commented: “we all love him.”

So Rafa is certain to attract interest to Newcastle United simply because he’s a world-class manager who’s also well-liked and respected by people in the game.

Her’ds a perfect manager to have in place in case some billionaires are thinking of buying a Premier League club.

After the game, Benitez was asked if he was impressed by the message and this is what he said:

“They were supporting me, they trust me and then they will be with me, so I was really pleased because the relationship is very good.”

“I was really pleased because it’s what you are expecting when you go to a club and you give everything, the fans are behind you and behind the team.”

“The main thing for me is not just with me, it’s that they are behind the players and give us an extra 5% in every game.”

After the match, former Middlesbrough player Robbie Mustoe in the NBC studio in Connecticut thought that Newcastle had played surprisingly well and had kept their shape and defended well throughout the 90 minutes.

Robbie thought we were worth the 1-1 draw.

jayphoto – the point I was making is that the club are adverse to publicity -any form of publicity especially if it involved anything on the non footballing side.
