Upbeat Newcastle Fans Take To Twitter After Draw Against Liverpool

Newcastle fans were pleased with the result yesterday with Liverpool and with the performance.

It’s getting to be a regular affair with Newcastle under Rafa – the lads gave everything they had yesterday and worked their socks off for the cause.

You never see any heads drop in this Newcastle team and we are mentally strong and they have real belief under Rafa Benitez.

Not sure that many other managers could get this bunch of players playing so well – Rafa’s that good.

Here are some of the comments being made on Twitter, with the fans upbeat about the future of Newcastle United.

Especially with financier Amanda Staveley being seen at the game yesterday and she could be representing some middle-east investors.

If you are a financier thinking of investing
in a footy club , you look at the accounts
    in private .
You don’t go and stand in the away section
of said club and support your favourite team.

i know the blogs so called experts continue to breakdown our players performances and Rafa’s every decision.
But i took great pleasure out of our performance yesterday we all know we don’t have team of world beaters and upgrades are needed but we have players who want to be here and are proud to wear the shirt
Rafa is doing a great job with the resources he has available under a very difficult regime

101% for Rafa and the boys

Lascelles was immense yesterday! I was watching on NBC and even Lee Dixon was wetting himself over the lad’s positional and leadership skills. The amount of times he got himself in the right place to cut out a pass or get a foot in was incredible.

I had a bit of banter on here early season about how I did not think Lascelles was up to much, based on his skills with ball at feet. On seeing his recent performances, I must eat some humble pie. The lad has been incredible for us. I reckon next step will be a call-up for him!

This is the first time since I started supporting Newcastle (in 1993) that I can honestly say we look solid and well organized. Long may it last.

Glad I was at the match and therefore spared the temptation of logging on. A skim back through the in-match comments is easier to do later. There are several people who show themselves up with their ‘opinions’.
With that, off to work with a spring in the step! Enjoy the good feelings, it steels you for the inevitable down times!

With a better striker and No10 we would do much better in the PL.

Jibs view is that if you’re going to buy a club you look at the books in private and don’t stand in the away section of your favourite club (Liverpool ? ) . Surely she was in the Platinium Club area along with Rafa’s guests.
However if you’re going to buy the worlds biggest diamond you might just want to go and see it in person and see the sparkle. Or send someone as proxy on your behalf.

Amanda Staveley has £20bn of Middle East sovereign funds at her disposal and helped Thaksin Shinawatra sell Manchester City to Abu Dhabi’s Sheik Mansour in 2008.
And this summer, the Yorkshirewoman admitted she is interested in buying a Premier League club.

So are Liverpool selling up ?
    Ashley might be ?
Or are Liverpool or Newcastle just possible investments ?
Or is Amanda just a football fan ?

I would like to think that if you’re going to advise someone to invest £380million in a club then you would check out all the facilities and make sure that it’s all in good working order. We are now.

    Let’s see
