Fans React To Waking Up On A Sunny Sunday Morning – With Newcastle In 6th Place

It was a difficult game yesterday and not one we will remember because Newcastle played well – we didn’t – and the game was not a good one to watch either, because the team struggled.

In the olden days we would have lost this game, but under Rafa Benitez we won it – simply because our lads never gave up the ghost and kept on playing.

A little bit of magic with four minutes to go from Matt Ritchie and Mikel Merino was enough to give Newcastle all three points.

St. James’ Park erupted – the game instantly became a better one.

Newcastle fans are now waking up this sunny Sunday morning with the club in 6th position in the league table.

Unbelievable!

Another great flag display yesterday

Here are some of the reactions.

It’s not just about yesterday’s performance with Perez and you as a match goer should know that mate.

Time and time again we go through this same debate and again I point to the media links and twitter and Facebook, And look at the response Ayoze generates mostly week in week out.
Granted everyone has a bad game now and again like we have off days at work.
But the guy has played over a 100 games now and still we are saying he will come good. Personally I thought Gouffran offered more last season than Perez,And a gentleman’s agreement with ya that if a takeover takes place, Perez will be the first person that is benched when money is made available to fill his position

I’m no fan of Perez but I slate him for his performances not just because I need a player to bash.

In a team with not a massive amount of flair he doesn’t stand out, he looks like a championship player.

I can’t understand how he starts every week, he couldn’t hit a cows arse with a bang a strong wind would blow him over and the majority of the game he’s like bambi on ice.

    Simply put NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

The genius of Rafa is knowing great defences lead to great sides
    (Mourinho knows it too)
Rafa has meticulously built a powerful defence led by captain Lascelles
The rest of the team leaves a lot to be desired
Hopefully we get an infusion of Stavelely capital before January and invest in some creative wingers and attacking midifielders

Favourite quote from BBC Radio Newcastle’s coverage: “And Zaha knocks it past Yedlin, Zaha’s really quick, but Yedlin’s quicker.”
Heading back to Wallsend for the first time in the best part of 2 Years, I can actually smell the optimism and stotties from Nottingham!

It’s nothing short of magical where rafa has us sitting in the league, with the likes of manquillo, perez, joselu in the starting 11.

Just imagine what rafa can do with 100m ploughed in January to replace perez and joselu.
