Even With £100M – Benitez Will Continue To Spend Wisely In January

It is sometimes very difficult to get good players into the club in the January transfer window.

But if Newcastle are sold by the end of the year then Rafa should be handed significant transfer funds for January – if he can find the players available he wants to sign.

But at least we will not be up against Mike Ashley’s frugal ways, and if Rafa wants a player in on loan and Rafa really wants him, then the club will pay the loan fee.

Rafa will not change the players he wants to bring in during the January transfer window.

Cenk Tosun – striker target in January

But the club as well as trying to bring in three or four players in January could do the initial work on players they want to sign in the summer.

The priorities are for a left back, a creative midfielder, and a striker but other players could also come in.

Rafa will continue to concentrate on the character of players and will only sign those who are keen to play for Newcastle and want to improve their game.

Players will also leave the club including the likes of Jack Colback, Henri and Sadio Haidara who all have no future on Tyneside.

Rafa will want to get as many good players through the window as possible, and that could help us in the second half of the season.

The other advantage is that they will have half a season to settle in.

Next season will be an all-out attempt to get as high a possible in the league table – top four being the aim.

It will be very exciting times for Newcastle fans once Mike Ashley sells the club and we have in place an ambitious owner who will completely support Rafa Benitez.

That’s the 11th goal Manure have scored in the last 10 minutes of a game this season!

not sure how the 30m for sissoko would read on the books as i think we’ve only had 2x 6M staged payments so far

I can see Colback moving on. If he was a sub he probably would have stayed on to keep his wages, but being out of the squad should have made his mind up for him. I cannot see Haidara and Saivet going anywhere this season… it will be a mission to get them out in the summer… Diame included.

1949BH, that is good news on Haidara being out of contact. It seems like Haidara hasn’t even got going yet, and he’s been at the club how long…

If Palace cannot beat West Ham at home, they may as well start getting ready for the championship now. I wonder where Townsend will end up, it won’t be in the championship lol.

I was gutted when he left because he was our stand out player in his brief stint here.He did get abuse tho ,especially at corners.

Rafa wanted him back in the summer but wasn’t given the backing so never say never mate when Nufc are concerned

    Jazzy,
We would have torn up the second half of that season with a fresh face of his quality, there’d have been no doubts about promotion and we’d have gone down in history with record points.

just so sure confident about this takeover and Rafa being part of it
its not just the playing staff that will change it’s all the dead wood we carry lower down the coaching ladder
and Ashley’s people that are running the club into the ground
“not that much to ask is it”
