It is sometimes very difficult to get good players into the club in the January transfer window.
But if Newcastle are sold by the end of the year then Rafa should be handed significant transfer funds for January – if he can find the players available he wants to sign.
But at least we will not be up against Mike Ashley’s frugal ways, and if Rafa wants a player in on loan and Rafa really wants him, then the club will pay the loan fee.
Rafa will not change the players he wants to bring in during the January transfer window.
Cenk Tosun – striker target in January
But the club as well as trying to bring in three or four players in January could do the initial work on players they want to sign in the summer.
The priorities are for a left back, a creative midfielder, and a striker but other players could also come in.
Rafa will continue to concentrate on the character of players and will only sign those who are keen to play for Newcastle and want to improve their game.
Players will also leave the club including the likes of Jack Colback, Henri and Sadio Haidara who all have no future on Tyneside.
Rafa will want to get as many good players through the window as possible, and that could help us in the second half of the season.
The other advantage is that they will have half a season to settle in.
Next season will be an all-out attempt to get as high a possible in the league table – top four being the aim.
It will be very exciting times for Newcastle fans once Mike Ashley sells the club and we have in place an ambitious owner who will completely support Rafa Benitez.
