Our Man Of The Match Becomes A Key Player For Newcastle Again

With Mikel Merino out with a back injury Newcastle are again reduced to having one man in central midfield with creative ability – Jonjo Shelvey.

Jonjo had a good game in the disappointing 1-0 defeat at Burnley on Monday night – only our second defeat in the last 8 league games.

We suppose Mikel could still play on Saturday against Bournemouth, but it looks like we will again be relying on Jonjo’s passing ability if we are to get a win.

We need a win at home against a side who are second bottom of the league table, and the long two-week International break also starts after this weekend.

Jonjo Shelvey – in action on Monday night

It’s a time when we need a good result on Saturday.

Shelvey was clearly our best player on Monday night with a good 41% of the vote.

Let’s hope he can have one of his best games for us on Saturday – we need him and some of our other players to be at their best for that game.

We might get to see Princesses get beheaded as half time entertainment, not sure if they’ll let Sky televise them mind, they weren’t happy with ITN a few years back.

Come on Sam you can do better than this. You know that lot down the road want you back again.
    Go on I dare you.

Sam Allardyce is to hold talks with Everton over their vacant managerial position, but he wants a lucrative contract to take the job. (Sun)

Hayden back in midfield alongside Shelley.
Clark alongside Lascelles in defence, and Murphy to start with Ritchie on the bench.
How about Aaron’s being given some playing time ?
We need a bit of a shake-up after Saturday’s game.
