A Stern Rafa Benitez Sick Of Mistakes Newcastle Continue to Make

Rafa Benitez as we all know was not happy with Newcastle’s second-half performance on Saturday at home to Bournemouth.

We had created some good chances in the first half, but the score at halftime was still 0-0 because we seem unable to take our chances this season and don’t have the goalscoring power up front we need.

In 11 games we have scored only 10 goals and conceded 10, so the defensive record is quite good.

So Rafa will spend the next two weeks impressing on his players they have to cut out the mistakes that have cost us points in the last two games – both 1-0 defeats with the goal coming late in the game.

Rafa Benitez – annoyed at the mistakes

The Bournemouth goal came in the 92nd minute when some of our players were not concentrating for the corner that produced the only goal of the game.

This is what a stern Rafa Benitez has said:

“We have to learn quickly what it means in the Premier League and what it means to make mistakes,”

“It’s not like in the Championship when you make mistakes and you can win. If you make a mistake, you pay for that.”

“We have to learn what we have and what we have to do and how to react if something is right or if something is wrong.”

“It seemed that we were learning quickly, but now we are making mistakes and paying for that.”

“We have to be sure we’re more focused and concentrate, especially in the last minutes of a game.”

“We have to keep working hard.”

Obviously, the Premier League is a big step up for some of our players, but with 11 league games coming up from 17th November (when we are at Old Trafford) through January 1st they will have to learn very quickly.

We cannot afford a slump in the league at this point.

What do you think?

I think Rafa has given us a clue there about the lateness
of his subs. He is obviously is influenced to a degree
by noticing players who have clearly lost focus after
70 minutes of high pressure footy.
When you factor in injuries and tactical necessities
you can see how difficult a job it is .

I noticed on the previous thread chat about Andy Carroll, Andy Carroll is not the same player he was when we had him. Injuries have torn him apart. Hammers fans have turned against him because he’s on big money and has been utter rubbish. I’d prefer if we stayed well clear of him

More than being a captain he was e having a good game and is a lot better than Clark in the air.
His injury may of cost us a point as he might big might of been a challenge to cook
