Dwight Gayle And Jacob Murphy Start At Old Trafford

Rafa Benitez has just named his side for the game at Manchester United tonight.

And Dwight Gayle and Jacob Murphy both start the game.

We expect Murphy to be on the left wing and Gayle to play behind Joselu in the number 10 position.

And the Red Devils team includes Paul Pogba and Marcos Rojo both starting the game, after returning from injury.

Newcastle have to be near their best to take anything out of this game.

Jonjo Shelvey captains the side in Jamaal Lascelle’s absence.

Only one Newcastle fan in six thinks we can win this game.

Good to see Aarons on the bench. I’m not very confident about this one – a draw would be a great result.

Yeah, good to see Aarons in the squad. Also glad Mitrovic is available after long China trip.

It will be interesting to see how Murphy does today. Hopefully he can get over his jitters and rise to the occasion!

I’m surprised Rafa going 4 4 2 and playing Murphy but you never know – Man U front 3 very scary!

I would imagine Manure, sitting back and trying to hit us on the break ,especially as we have such a potent front line………I was hoping merino would be available with Shelvey through the middle ,Rafa will have his plan though, I’m going for 0-0

With Murphy been the winger to come on regularly for 10mins, he was logically the replacement I just really didn’t think Rafa would pick him for this game to start, given how nervy and hesitant he has looked in his cameos. Expected Perez there tbh.

Anyway, he’s there so let’s get behind him. Knew there’d be few changes.

Not expecting much tonight, hope I’m surprised like 5 or so years ago when Cabaye and Ba led us to a glorious victory, with a comical own goal by Phil Jones thrown in there too.

Bournemouth and Burnley’s results today show our defeats to them maybe not so bad.

    Catchy

To be honest I never use twitter or any other social site so I don’t know what Ed is or is not saying.

My response to to your comment was intended as humour, nothing else.

So to get an insult back is a bit puzzling.

The big obstacle for us is firstly getting chances and then getting past De Gea who is probably the best GK in the EPL if not the world.

    Still we live in hope.

Be nice to see some refs decisions in our favour with perhaps a couple of red cards for them.

Well although I too am expecting a defeat, I recall the match 5 years ago. 0-0 they were in command, Simpson cleared one off the line, then a punt up field from GK, it bounced straight through to Ba and he opportunistically hooked it goalwards and we went 1-0 up! Hopefully Gayle can be similarly on his toes tonight. Then Cabaye with a fantastic free-kick and we could hardly believe our eyes – maybe Ritchie has got one up his sleeve tonight!

All it takes is moments within the 90.

neither am i on other SM platforms, no FB no Twitter. and im pretty sure it dosnt take a genius to work out you dont ignore your own patrons, i find it insulting that he goes hunting on another platform and posts comments from them.

your wife gets all dressed up, and you ignore her and compliment a friends wife. your son runs his heart on on the pitch and you hi 5 another kid..

thats what Ed does every time he posts from twitter

Fine if thats your honest opinion it’s up to you, I’m not really bothered if Ed is doing something you find objection to. I’m happy that he provides the means to communicate with fellow fans and in the main provides a forum for us.

Still don’t see why you felt the need to insult me.

Catchy that knock on Ed… You remind me of a continental diving and calling for a foul 10 yards behind play. Get over it!

As for the match a draw would be great anything more pure bonus.

See if Murphy can earn his pay.

Why would Ed post our comments: we read them ourselves. Unless you are hoping he chooses yours, there is no need to read them again. I do not look at twitter, so Ed gives me the opportunity to see what other people, who my be more insulated from us, are thinking.
