Antonio Conte has finished his press conference for the game against Newcastle tomorrow, and he has said that Chelsea will rotate their players for the game.
They also have four players out injured – Luiz, Musonda, Batshuayi, and Kenedy are not available for tomorrow’s game.
There was a feeling that Conte had a poor relationship with Rafa but the Chelsea manager has emphatically denied this and has said that Rafa has won a lot in his career and that he has great respect for the Newcastle manager.
This is some of what Conte has said today in his press conference – as reported in the Chronicle:
“Luiz and Musonda are out, Batshuayi and Kenedy have just started to work with us and they need a bit of time to be in the best physical condition
“No, this is not true (that he has a poor relationship with Rafa). Rafa did a great job in his time with Napoli.” “Then I remember when I was the coach of the national team I went to watch the training session with Napoli and stay with him.”
“He is a good manager and has won a lot with his career. I have a great respect for him.”
“I think Rafa in his spell(at Chelsea he did well. To win the Europa League is not simple. When Chelsea won it, it is right always to give respect.”
“Also if for a long time the coach was the coach of the opponent you think this. He was the coach for many years of Liverpool.”
“I think only for this. I think our fans are very good for this.”
This is going to be a tough game for Newcastle – one of the most difficult matches of the season.
