Sky Sports Pundit Predicts More Gloom And Doom For Newcastle

You can never accuse Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson of being positive about Newcastle United.

The only two times this season he has predicted a win for us we ended up losing.

So maybe we should be pleased that Paul thinks dangerous Leicester City will win the game tomorrow afternoon at St. James’ Park by a score of 2-1.

That would not be good for Newcastle of course – we must start winning games – especially those at home against a team outside the top six.

Paul Merson – predicts our 9th defeat in 16 league games

There’s no doubt that Leicester City are a team in form at the moment and new manager Claude Puel has done an excellent job in starting to get the best out of the players he has.

Here’s what Paul has said about the upcoming game”

“Newcastle are not on a good run at the moment, and they really need a win here, but Leicester are a dangerous team.”

“Newcastle will have to go at Leicester, and they could be picked off, like Bournemouth did to them.”

“Leicester have bought into Claude Puel’s thinking. Jamie Vardy is back and Riyad Mahrez looks like he fancies it again.”

“Away win.”

Merson prediction: 1-2

We have seven games in 23 days starting tomorrow and by the time we have played at Stoke on January 1st we’d love it if we are in mid-table in the Premier League.

That’s got to be the goal.

He would do ….. And no worries we would be in good hands.

But I was told this person was ‘Mega MEGA Rich and Royalty’ (quote)…Which narrows it down, I can’t think of many Royal families in Middle East.

He is waiting to hear back if it can be shared.

Ashley was slightly embarrassed apparently when the waiter inadvertently brought his usual curry to the table.

That was a smart move by Ashley to bring his wife along to the meeting with Staveley—if intended.

guess he has an account at the Curry House”

Wow, Jib actually taking a poke at Ashley. The King truly is dead.

I must admit I always hated the idea of Newcastle becoming another Chelsea or Man City, being pumped up with absurd and probably dubious foreign wealth, but now that it seems to be on the cards, I feel weirdly relaxed about it.

Can’t argue with Merson’s prediction. I’d say he’s being generous giving us a goal. Everton is the big one. Hopefully Liverpool will give them a proper spanking on Sunday, with a red card as well and another couple carried off.

Ings on loan would still be a good deal for us, even if we have cash to burn in January. He’s probably better than any of our current strikers, and bringing him in would allow Rafa to cash in on Mitro or Gayle to fund a big money signing.

Any of the Ws from Arsenal on loan would do us a lot of good, even better with all three + Giroud.

If there is really going to be some money up front then a cheeky bid for Lewendoski perhaps.

What sort of upfront cash are we talking, £50 to £100m would be a good little pot for Rafa in January and if he knows how much it IS going to be he can have some players lined up.

Wonder if he’ll go back for Townsend?

    Hence the delay. 🙂

Funds will be made available to Rafa in January. Big money apparently!

A marquee signing plus money for building a squad, not a team to stay up.

That’s as much as I can put out at minute.

Believe it, don’t believe it. That’s your choice kiddies
