Dwight Gayle made the opener for Joselu for the Spaniard’s third goal of the season, and Dwight equalized in the second half to set us up for a point that we didn’t take and ended up losing again.
That was Dwight’s third Premier League goal, and he’s coming into some good form at a crucial time of the season for Newcastle.
Dwight got 63% of the vote for his assist and goal yesterday.
There are reports he will be sold in January but why sell a player who can score goals when we are so short of natural goalscorers in the team?
Second in the voting is 21-year-old Mikel Merino (10%) who is slowly getting back into the form he showed before his back injury.
Dwight Gayle – one goal and one assist
Third in the voting is 22-year-old Jacob Murphy (8%) who started the game brightly but then tailed off before being subbed in the second half.
But Jacob has shown he can become a good player at Newcastle once he gets more games under his belt.
Next up for Newcastle is an in-form Everton side who have been buoyed by the experienced Sam Allardyce coming in as manager.
We must try to get a win on Wednesday night at St. James’ Park.
Why Jonjo Shelvey is not being played these days is a little bit of a mystery – maybe he will get a chance on Wednesday night against the Toffees.

Comment #45Not a loon but just saying that Ginola was a much better player. Robert would walk into this Toon team. Ok a good player but never world class. Who did he play for ? Did a top team buy him? What happened to him after the Toon? Get my point. Com[pare the two players and who they played for. How many times did he play for France.etetc etc

Comment #46What does “dillusional” mean? Are you an infant? Why don’t you ask “Josiere”? Lol
Do you wake up in the morning and highly to yourself when the word pops into your seedling brain? What a plank! I suppose the “****stain” remark comes straight into your head when you see your bedroom curtains when you first open your eyes of a morning 🙂
Still waiting for the moment when you have something of value to say but there ain’t much room left for originality in there until you prise “Josiere” out is there ? Must be using up a lot of energy that one eh you vacant balloon. 😀

Comment #48Why is Staveley haggling over 50 million? The club is worth 300 million. She tried to buy Liverpool for over a billion. She wants to spend a fortune on players allegedly so why risk losing the deal for 50 million. All is not as it seems. She should put up or shut up. I do not blame Ashley this time.

Comment #50Ginola rightly regarded as a top players. Only 17 games for france. spent his final days here in the reserves before being offloaded to villa didn’t he? Doesn’t really say anything talking about what he did afterwards does it?

they conclude the meeting after deciding to call off the sale.
Mike: the fans are going to go mad
Mike: can we go for a meal so it looks as if the sale is still on?
Amanda: depends what’s in it for me?
Mike: 500K
Amanda: where do you want to go?

Comment #53@shitstains, Ashley is throwing money at a propaganda machine to sway opinion. I believe he also has a camp set up to send those who oppose his rule. And his secret police roam the city in search of resistance.

I am not interested in France but I bet he did not play half a dozen games for them. Are you saying they had world class players so Robert could not get a game.??

Comment #58Jane – to your first reply ….
It can’t be that because it’s meant to be a £250 million offer (take it or Leave it) so there’s no negotiating
Second one …
Maybe!

Not a lot. Buy a full back perhaps? We spent 30 million on rubbish in the summer. Wasted. If this lot has as much money as is being alleged (28 thousand million) why break a deal for 50? It does not add up. Why should Mike sell cheap?

Comment #62You aren’t going to agree to go for a meal together and get spotted if negotiations are not either finalised or close to.
Nothing in it for Stavely and she ain’t going to put her name on the line (As a broker) just for publicity.

Comment #63Jimiley…50M is a lot of money to most. It’s close to 20% of the total 300M!
..,some would just rather save that amount, or donate money to a great cause, buy something they need or help somebody they love or somebody who need it!
Face facts, nobody else is willing to pay 300M

Comment #66I never comment straight away and like to wait for the hysterical rants to die down. I was bitterly disappointed at the result yesterday but came away from the game thinking we hadn’t played too badly and probably deserved a draw. After watching the highlights we were unlucky with their deflected goals but that’s what happens when you are struggling like we are. I agree things have to change but certainly not the manager!

Comment #67I’ve been mulling this whole “3 bidders” scenario over and over in my mind.
We know that PCP have supposedly tabled a £250M bid that Mr Ashley has rejected. Ok he paid more than that for the club, so perhaps he is allowed a little profit on his investment. He is holding out for £300M to gain a modest profit. we’ll skip the free advertising for now.
But I am sure that there had been a bid of £320M. That is £20M more than Mr Ashley is asking, so why hasn’t he snatched their hands off and disappeared down south?
Let’s get him out of the club and hopefully replaced by an ownership that is far more ambitious.

Comment #71Now there are two mystery bidders in addition to Amanda’s group? Absolute bollocks. Just like the 320M pound bid never happened. It’s not going to work either. Ashley would have sold by now if that was the case. Amanda isn’t going to buy into bollocks Ashley. The rags are just looking to throw petrol on the fire. Sit tight lads, this is a real test of wills between Mikey’s group and Amanda’s. I could see her going to 280 right at the end and then it’s all on Mikey. And if we keep losing at the same time I can’t see him saying no.

Comment #74Another crucial match on Wednesday. Are we up to it? Our form as of now would say no. It will have to be a huge turnaround from us. Big Sam is probably rubbing his hands in glee. He will see us as another step upward for Everton. I think we have a chance but only if we get decent performances from everyone Rafa puts out there.

Comment #75Spot on Tsunki. That’s where it will end up. To ensure the sale I think Amanda will have to go to 280M so Ashley can save a little face.

Dec 10, 2017 at 6:25 PM
Comment #76Actually Amanda can truly put Mikey on the spit now by just sitting tight and watching us spiral downwards into January. Mike would then have to spend to save us and she could step in with another offer keeping in mind whatever the spending was and just cover that as well. Hard to say but Mike is in a horrible bargaining position the way the season is turning out.

Comment #77I think we can turn it around against Everton. Drawing with Liverpool was a very good result but against the run by a long shot. They still have work to do to repair their situation and i think they might get a bit of reality against us. We just need to shore up our defence now. We can get goals so let’s see.

Comment #78Yep Mike’s gamble is starting to look twitchy. He probably thought in the summer that Benitez would give him immunity from relegation but unfortunately he gave the guy no room at all and now there’s no magic wand. I think Mike shot his bolt with this one all right. Very nearest offer for a quick sale.

Comment #79Just another poor gamble by Ashley. Poor decision making at every turn. How he made money is beyond me. He’s an absolute buffoon as far as his actions with the football club are concerned. Amazing. I shake my head every time I see what he’s done (or hasn’t done when it comes to strategic spending on the club).

Comment #80Totally disagree. Laurent Robert in my opinion was the best footballer to play for us. He had a harder shot than Roberto Carlos. He had more pace than Ginola and could assist. Cracking player.
