Predicted Team To Start Against Everton – Five Changes

From what Rafa has said at his press conference the only player who will not be used tomorrow is Paul Dummett who is still not quite fit enough to start a game.

But everybody else is fit again including Jamaal Lascelles and Christian Atsu.

Rafa will have to change the team with three games in just eight days since we are at the Emirates to face Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.

Jamaal Lascelles – likely to return tomorrow night

Here’s the team that could possibly start tomorrow night in a 4-4-2 formation:

Darlow
Yedlin Lascelles (c) Clark Mbemba
Ritchie Merino Shelvey Atsu
Mitrovic Gayle

Not sure Mbemba will be in at left back but with Paul Dummett out he seems the best left back we have.

Not quite sure why he is not being played there by Rafa.

The manager has to rest Joselu so it’s a perfect time to give Aleksandar Mitrovic a start alongside Dwight Gayle up front.

And Jonjo Shelvey surely must get a chance in this game as Isaac Hayden is rested in central midfield.

Jacob Murphy has done well but he also will likely be rested for this game to give Christian Atsu a chance.

Christian looked good when he came on last Saturday.

So that’s five changes to the side that lost to Leicester City last Saturday.

What would your starting eleven be for tomorrow night against the Toffees?

Repost – Cant’ keep up with Ed today!!!

If Lascelles can come back into the squad and Lejeune plays with the form he had in the first few weeks then provided Gayle can knock one (two why not three… okay carried away a little there 🙂
we should be able to win against Everton.

I am serious. They leak goals at the back (29 conceded on the season) and don’t let their improvement the last 3 games fool you. One was against a woeful Westham, another against Huddersfield which has 5 fewer goals than us on the season (11 total) and the Blues got the exact same result (1-1 draw) that we got to Liverpool back in October.

Teams like Huddersfield Town and BHA are not on any more solid ground than we were when were mid-table and Everton has yet to prove they can sustain their recovery. My last prediction went woefully wrong (thought Watford were there for the picking) but honestly think this will be a tight match.

Time to face it. We are stuck with Ashley as there is no news on the takeover front and its 12 Dec and that means there will be no change before January. Time to live with the fact that we must support the squad we’ve got. and it’s a squad that can beat the Blues (besides my mate is an Everton fan from Merseyside and humiliating Everton and returned has been Rooney in St. James would be very nice early Christmas present)

Stop the griping. Rafa’s going to stick with Joselu (we’ll probably sell Mitro – wasted talent there but I’m not calling the shots or squad selection) whether Shelvey’s given a run is a question for punters and we can win regardless.

It is a game we can take and they are still very shaky!!!

    HWTL!

Won’t happen Ed. Here’s (Rafa’s not my team for tomorrow – especially now Joselu got a tap in the Sapniar will support the Spaniard unless he plays Mitro so he can look good for sell on value in January):

    Darlow
    Yedlin Lascelles (c) Lejeune Mbemba
    Ritchie Merino Hayden Atsu
    Joselu Gayle

Normally I’d even slide Perez in there but Rafa won’t dare after Gayle’s performance Saturday.

    That’s my guess.

Is it still snowy in Richmond? It’s a trick question i know it is. When are you taking those net curtains down they need a clean buddy. When the missus takes the dog for a walk I’ll send a dry cleaners van round ha ha. Can’t say fairer than that.

That Quote by Ryder is meaningless. Look at the context

Rafa on waiting for takeover news and spending money for January: “Hopefully after the Everton game we will have a win and some news and people will be happy.”

Well we could have said that before Leicester and before Chelsea and before WBA and before…

    Means nothing, absolutely nothing.

Unless Ashley is willing to cash out on a contigency payment depending on performance and take a cut in expectation by between 50 and 100 M depending on what he really wants for the club (I reckon he wants no less than 350M – 360M no matter what the reports of 300M may be) than we are stuck with him. Get used to him. Hoots could tell you all about the position Rafa’s in and I am certain he prefers being over at BHA where he can direct matters than being Ashley’s slapping post at our club.

I want us to stay up. We do that, then being scared of this happening again, Ashley will cash out in the summer now he knows where the market is really at.

@shitstains, can we split the cost and get a deal maybe? My net curtains plus your filthy britches. The dry cleaner man gonna have a heart attack when he’s sees what you send him.

Anyway, addressing the grow -ups now – what is there to misunderstand about the context? Unless he was talking in general about player availability?

i think all the evidence is building to believe that rafa means he is also expecting takeover news.
we have had many decent contacts saying before 17dec. then we had shearer saying wednesday to someone. also another person saying wednesday. this following the meeting at the curry house and the lawyer going to USA.
its ON guys. Im going on the beer for days.will be the biggest news of my life. been going since 1974 and only one season have we really challenged.
of any club in the world, we are the ones who deserve this.

Cannot see anything other than fans will be happy with 3 points in this quote “Hopefully after the Everton game we will have a win, and some news, and people will be happy ”
I have put some punctuation in the quote which may or may not be the way it was delivered.

Frank, that talk is one big sideshow to keep fans frothing at the mouth. The important thing is a win or at least at draw at home tomorrow. We do that we’ll right the ship. That’s all that matters. another quote in the chronicle from today is that Rafa is waiting on transfer budget info from Charnley. He know what we know and that is whatever dribs and drabs Ashley wants us to know. Until a deal is announced there is no deal and best stick to talking about football.

On that note next 6 games and my fearless (imprudent but fearless predictions)

Wed 13 Dec Newcastle 1 vs 1 Everton draw 1 point
Sat 16 Dec Arsenal 2 vs 0 Newcastle loss 0 points
Sat 23 Dec West Ham 1 vs 2 Newcastle win 3 points
Wed 27 Dec Newcastle 0 vs 4 Man City loss 0 points
Sat 30 Dec Newcastle 2 vs 1 Brighton win 3 points
Mon 1 Jan Stoke 0 vs 1 Newcastle win 3 points

    Total 10 points

    Points on Jan 1 – 25 Points

Yep let’s just brush the toffees to one side first I’m sure the takeover stuff will happen of its own accord in its own due time without our anguish and nail biting. Or extra nail biting ha ha.
