Another Mistake – Another Defeat – Who Was Newcastle’s Best Player Against Everton?

Newcastle lost their seventh game in eight games last night 1-0 to Everton who have picked up 10 points from Sam Allardyce’s first 4 games in charge.

This time the Newcastle error was a howler from goalkeeper Karl Darlow in the first half that gifted the visitors the points.

Rafa will have to bring in more than just one or two players in January if we are to survive relegation this season.

This will be the third season in succession in the Premier League we are fighting relegation and the fourth in the last five seasons.

It’s certainly not what I was expecting this season.

The bad news is in the next three games we play Arsenal and Manchester City with little chance of getting points in those games.

Rafa Benitez – on the touchline last night

Three of the four teams beneath us in the league – West Ham, West Brom and Crystal Palace – all picked up points in this round of games.

With each defeat, the clouds over Newcastle become a little darker.

What’s happened to the team in the two months?

This must be fixed in January and quickly too.

If this sounds a little negative – that’s because the situation is exactly that.

No doubt some will still be saying Shelvey, Darlow, Yedlin are world class! Not sure if people voting for Yedlin watched the game – 🙄

I don’t get it, so by definition if you support trump your automatically a redneck, bigot , rascist, deplorable, stupid and anyone can label you these things and nothing is said, no one knows me on hear, well dan( go nufc) does, but no one else does.

but it’s acceptable to call someone, and here is me thinking that’s what a bigot is

so i have decided that you have to have wanted Hillary as apossed to Trump, as there was only really those two to choose from. well my biggest concern with her is her being surrounded by so many child rapists,
the evidence is overwhelming against them,
i can not could not will not support anyone with such strong links to anyone who harms children.

so if you automatically assume that i’m a bigot racist redneck from supporting him, i can only assume you like harming kids.

so stop with the trump digs, i never started it.

Night to forget. Missed first 20 mins due to being involved in an accident on A1. Then more traffic at Chester lee street because of another accident. Then we give away a sloppy goal and to top it off Shelvey gets sent off for a stupid fcuking tackle that there was no need for.

Must be waiting for a win before they announce takeover or summat.

God knows where a next wins gonna come from. We need players and quality players.

    From telegraph

Amanda Staveley has made a second bid in her attempt to buy Newcastle United although current owner Mike Ashley is yet to accept it and could ask her to increase the offer for a second time.

Hopes are high that the negotiations are edging closer to completion, although sources have told Telegraph Sport that Staveley’s has still not offered enough for the takeover to go through at this stage.

Although the second offer was initially thought to have hit the £300m mark, it is now understood it remains someway below that figure and there is still some work to be done before a deal can be agreed.

Indeed, there were even suggestions on Wednesday night that Staveley will have to make a third bid if she is going to be successful, although Ashley is still considering his options and has not formally rejected it at this stage.

I have one question for anyone worried by our current situation. Which teams manager from 11th place down or perhaps even 9th down would you swap for Rafa. If the answer isn’t none then you are nuts. Rafa expected this, given the right signings he’ll get us out of it. Trust rafa.

wish there was an option to vote for “no-one” in this weekly poll. So many times it is impossible to pick out a man-of-the match.

at least in this game we weren’t outplayed. Everton were as poor as we were. they created absolutely nothing, just had a lucky break…which we just cant seem to get.

We should all acknowledge that Ashley has saved this club financially and we owe him our gratitude. I will always remember the Ashley era with fondness.

Like rafa said we have to stick together. Yes we have players who we need to upgrade on but we could have got results from quite a few games if it wasn’t for some poor luck. A few centimetres each way and hit the post and bar would be goals and things could be very different. We are due some luck. Wba and Brighton are very winnable games. It may have escaped people’s notice but they are down there with us. Keep the faith. There are positives to take. Lascelles Back, dummet on his way back. Atsu makes a difference. Gayle nearly scoring and Ritchie means we are getting opportunities that we are creating. Everton scored because Rooney capitalised on our mistake. Outside of that and shelvey being an idiot it’s nil nil or we win. The sky has not caved in. We just need to get the luck Everton got. Also look at those around us. From 11th down they all look poor.
If we get in the following quality in during January hopefully Jan 1st we have a really good chance to turn this around.
Gk, lb, rb, DM, NUMBER 10, STRIKER,Striker. The key positions in capitals. So between 3 and 7 players depending on budget and availability.

I think with Elliott in nets we would have won that game, no stupid mistake would have meant Everton couldn’t just sit and waste time all game, we were unlucky with some of the things we did but Diame should never play for us again.
We have been crying out for certain positions on the pitch for years without them coming in and when we have brought players for those roles, bargain basement in this league rarely works, you may get lucky if the rest of the team are quality but in our case……years of penny pinching have ruined us……this is why Mikey wants out, he’s trying to sell at premier league price but the reality is that we’re a championship quality side playing in the Premier league, our run of form has coincided with Lascelles being missing, as well as Dummet and Atsu, having all these players fit and available will shore us up with Elliott at the back, this gives a certain freedom to the front players to support attacks rather than worry about what’s going on behind them, anyhoo……it’s not over till the fat lady sings and she’s barely out of the limo yet……our run of form leading up to this one was good, we just need to replicate that until the money comes in from the new owners
