Rafa Gives Injury Update – Two Players Out – Believes Magpies Can Win Tomorrow

Rafa has to be upbeat at the moment with it being very easy for both fans and players to get downhearted because of our poor results.

But with 20 games left, we have enough time to recover especially if we can get the players Rafa needs in January to strengthen the side.

Tomorrow will be a tough game and with 7 points from their last three games, the Hammers have now gone from 5 points behind Newcastle to two points ahead of us.

But hey – a win tomorrow will see us go above them again.

Aleksandar Mitrovic – still out with a bad back

Here’s some of what Rafa said about West Ham and our injury situation during his press conference this afternoon:

“West Ham are a very good team. The manager changed but they already had some very good players.”

“They are reacting and doing well, so we need to make sure we give them a difficult game and we are confident we can beat them.”

“Mitrovic is still out with a problem with his back and is out for 1 week to 10 days.”

“Gamez has had an operation on his ankle, a little one. We also have some knocks which we must decide on who can play.”

That’s going to be almost three weeks Mitro will be out with his bad back.

How Will Newcastle Fare At West Ham?

I’m finding it hard to believe Rafa doesn’t know how much he’s got or what’s going on.

Read a couple of bits now in the Chronicle which seems to corroborate what our own blog sources have said that the deal is done in essence and now is just finalising and awaiting the right time to announce. The former NUST chairman featured in the Chrinicle yesterday mentions, having spoken to people very close to the deal, states they are talking about being very active in the next 3 windows – to me that is suggesting January.

I am hoping he is just being coy when he’s being asked directly by the media about transfers and we have strong options in motion, because we need them.

Until Ian put it down authoritatively in print i never realised what a sham the man Benitez is. I can’t believe I’ve been taken in by him winning:

Just to disguise his awful talent spotting, poor buying and emotionless msn-management!

How could such a charlatan have wormed his way into our club????

    BENITEZ OUT!

Jib – jack W was the best player on view. Full of running and linking the play. Certainly improve our midfield. Loan so we can check out his ongoing fitness. There will be no shortage of offers should Arsenal decide to sell.

Mitro has a back problem even though he’s hardly played ?
The new training regimes must be tough.
Out for up to three weeks which very conveniently takes into account the January Transfer window.
Thanks Mitro, it was fun while it lasted.

I firmly believe mind games are afoot for the January transfer plan.
I can’t believe that Penfold and his cronies are that deluded not to see there error of there ways. And to protect the sale of the club investment is needed

Quite the conundrum (hmm thats twice I’ve used that word today, must be the blog limit) for the bumbling bean counter in chief now he has to hone his negotiating skills to the point of actually closing a deal or two rather than just fanny about until they fizz out. Go get ’em, tiger!

I was thinking about a meme for the day if/when the club finally changes hands and the fat barge rolls out of sjp for the final time.

Perhaps we could all use the same Ashley themed gravatar for the day – maybe a vote on the favoured image? Just putting it out there. We could make blog history! I doubt Ed will be keen as it will no doubt snack of mob/crew/crowd-ism.

Hardly think Jack was running rings, the quality / value of the Arsenal players was telling and our midfield looked week, but they still only managed one very well struck goal.
