Here’s The Predicted Newcastle Side For West Ham Today

Aleksandar Mitrovic has a back problem and will be out from 7 to 10 days so safe to say we will not see the Serbian striker over the four game festive period which starts today at West Ham.

Jesus Gamez is also not available after having a minor operation on his foot.

And of course, Jonjo Shelvey has had himself suspended again – this time for two games after being sent off in the home game against Everton.

Newcastle desperately need a win today at the London stadium to end our terrible run of eight defeats and one draw in the last nine games.

Paul Dummett – injured last August – could return today

We looked quite good last week at Arsenal and have tightened up in defense in the last couple of games, so there’s a decent chance of getting something out of the game today.

Here’s what the team could be today to face an in-form and confident Hammers side:

Elliot
Yedlin Lascelles (c) Lejeune Dummett
Hayden Merino
Ritchie Perez Atsu
Joselu

We don’t have Dwight Gayle in the team, and he’s in good goalscoring form so at the very least we should see the striker in the second half.

It’s also time for Paul Dummett to make his return to the side after picking up a severe hamstring injury in the first half of our first game against Spurs at home last August.

For the sake (and sanity) of Newcastle fans, we hope the lads can get a draw or a win today.

We are sick of going through Premier League seasons always fighting relegation.

There – I’ve said it!

I would start Gayle and Murphy rather than sit back and soak up the pressure yet again.
Do something different Rafa or The lemon crew will be on ya case

I’d sit Ritchie on the bench again. Think West Ham will have us covered in the height department so his balls in will be useless
