Newcastle Fans Explode On Twitter After First Win In 10 Games And Sparkling Performance

Newcastle fans swarmed to Twitter after our first win in 10 games.

Just to recap – 4 points in 10 games sounds a lot better than one point from 9 games but we need more wins on the board as we go forward.

It was the win Rafa has been talking about that will give our lads some real confidence and they now have a tough test against Manchester  City at home on Wednesday night – a game that is being televised live around the world.

We need to put in a good performance in that game and then we have Brighton at home and then Stoke away – two other clubs in relegation trouble.

Two wins in those game and we will be flying.

Rafa Benitez and David Moyes – before the game

Here are some of the tweets from relieved Geordie fans – we’ve waited 9 weeks for this!!!!.

And praise for our phenomenal traveling fans.

The Newcastle fans swarm to Twitter and the mad eyed lemon crew tread water back to their shipwreck on Trow rocks. One of them has apparently shoved a misfiring cannonball up his stripey jumper and gone to Davy Jones locker for good, can’t handle the toxicity he’s created.

The last tweet says it all really.

Ashley it’s now your time to F Off! Do us all a favour you’re not wanted.

Ps. Before leaving please give Rafa at least £40M to spend cheers.

I really like Saviet’s attitude and mentality. Nightmare error didn’t make him trying to avoid game or just pass to the nearest player. He apparently belives in his skills and abilities. Great free kick and whole game in general. I wonder how he could work with Merino on the field…

Anyway… perfect gift for X-mas. May the force be with us for rest of the year and all 2018 🙂 Best greetings from Poland guys! Howay the lads! 🙂

£40 mill – 2 players permanent for £16 each and a couple high profile on loan for the remaining £8 and we should be ok.

Have the Toon ever had a manager who actually uses his whole squad?
And not just stick with the same old faces playing people out of position to fill the gaps

    toon22,
I’m not sure what you mean by that. Rafa had apparently lost the plot by picking Saviet, should have had wearside Jack in by all accounts. Why would you use a player for the sake if it.

We will lose against City. That was a fluke by Rafa today. He had no choice but to pick that team. Rafas lost plot.

Great win was not expecting it when I saw the line.
I know we have not had the results playing two up front but I have enjoyed the football a lot better

Hope Saivet gets the chance to play more games – looked canny in the bits and pieces I have seen.

Wouldn’t mind seeing him and Mbemba playing together

Looking forward to the Man City game. Still like to see us go two up front and even using Atsu and Gayle as get out options for counter attacks
ie leaving them on the half way line when we defend corners

Stayed calm throughout the game until the last say 15mins. Was a nervous wreck by then. Excellent 3 points, hopefully rafa has learnt from this and is ready to give a chance to those who he’s sidelined. Thought Saivet did well for his first proper league game of the season

    OT,
He’s probably learned a bit from the other 700 odd games he’s managed as well. Today as an individual had nothing to do with Rafa. It had every thing to do with Newcastle United. Just like he was powerless to stop that perfectly good goal against Bournemouth being disallowed or Darlows spill, he couldn’t help stop Saiviet’s misplaced pass or his free kick. He has managed to put together a team that don’t give up though and obviously have belief in themselves. God forbid what would happen to us if some of the match day loons had their own way.

    beer,
Catchy said Rafa had lost the plot by picking that team, after the win he said he was forced to play it. He’s shot himself in the foot and just can’t have it both ways. A win has actually forced HWA to quit the blog.

Jail mate you cannot win with some people
We win a game it’s not because of rafa
We lose a game it’s because of Rafa
He has won champions league etc but he is not good enough for us (where some people are concerned) people need to realise where we are and accept we are where we should be bottom 6 and we have the best man for the job get behind him the only chance of getting rid of Ashley is with Rafa as gaffer

    big bob,
It’s disgraceful the way a certain few are carrying on. I’m not sure if they use Twitter as well but it doesn’t help our cause at all the way some of them carry on. I know RUNAWAY777 does go to matches but the rest of them just spew bile without actually doing anything for the club.

It’s a massive 3 points today, absolutely buzzing with the performance as well as the result. We played against a resurgent West ham and credit to the players, we’ve been on an awful run but still performed really well.

For all the positive I can’t help but feel we would be on more points if rafa had given Mitro a chance, his hand was forced today and Saivet looked hungry to take his opportunity. The goal really settled him down and although he faded in the 2nd half the lad certainly gave it his all.

All in all its a massive bonus getting these 3 points, essentially a 6 pointer for us today. If only we could play West ham every week.

I also thought atsu was by far the best player purely for his contribution he wins motm for me. A goal and an assist and if not mistaken i believe he won the free kick for the opening goal as well.

We have a free hit on Wednesday night, then a massive game against a decent Brighton side who themselves got a good win today

My point is that we have a squad and he seems to be using all of it
We have alot of missing players atm and instead of playing people out of position to fill the gaps he seems to favor actually using players in their natural position within the squad
He is using all thats available
In the past we seemed to have about 14 to 16 players who always played regardless

Jail, not sure if you were being sarky in the last post. I have said consistently that rafa has been stubborn , eg with mitro. I believe you were calling for that too but you ignore it now. On the other side of the coin I have also said that the spirit he has developed is fantastic and the football is fine. We deserved a win or draw v Everton too. He may have accidentally unearthed a decent player in saivet who wud not have been given the nod ordinarily, but I am sure we would have won with merino and shelvey too. Really looking forward to sky coverage later.

I wish people would stop making up things I’ve said. Manxpie said called the squad shite, I’ve said it’s not good enough to be competitive in the PL, that’s a whole lot different to calling us shite.
    Munster,
I’m not ignoring having called for Mitro at all, he wears a 4+5 and apparently wore a Shearer top to bed, of course I wanted him to do well. But I’ve accepted the manager doesn’t rate him and given the choice of the two, well……..
