In an hour or two it will be Christmas Day in Newcastle.
We would like to wish all our readers and all the fans of Newcastle United Football Club around the world, and in fact, everybody associated with the club a Merry Christmas and all the very best in the New Year.
It was a good first half of the year for the club with Rafa getting us promoted straight back to the Premier League.
And our showing yesterday at West Ham was good and bodes well for the future, especially if we can get some good players into the club next month.
Although time may be running out I am still very hopeful that Rafa will be given the necessary funds so he can build a great side at Newcastle and we can become one of the top clubs in Europe.
And hopefully, Ms. Staveley can become the principal owner in the very near future.
Merry Xmas to Newcastle United fans and everybody associated with the club.
And have a great 2018.
Ed Harrison.

Comment #3Merry Christmas, fellow supporters!
May you all spend warm moments with your closest, and may the days beyond and the next year give us all more to cheer about and less poor luck and misfortune to rue and argue on. May those unhappy with Rafa be more triggered from us failing to beat the Manchesters, the Liverpools, the Chelseas to climb in the top spots than about sliding at the foot. May the Ketsbaia’s of the blog have transfers like experienced top internationals or exciting upcoming talent to mourn before asking us to sign Abeid rather than mourning incoming third choice forwards from teams who were struggling anyway.
Be healthy, happy and just a little more kind to everyone else, unless (but especially if) they disagree with you!

Marveaux may have been a poor signing, he may have looked uninterested, may have lacked effort and may have only showed flashes of ability. However, in one of the seasons under Pardew where we were very close to getting relegated and cisse kept scoring these late winners/equalisers, did you see who kept coming off the bench and setting these goals up. Your mate marveaux lol. Think it was 2012/13 season. Must have set up up at least 4-5 goals in the run in and was major part of us staying despite hardly starting games.

I honestly think we will be safe and providing the takeover happens we will have a very bright future,Newcastle fans have suffered long enough it could just be our time if the sale of the club goes through. All;the best to supporters ,players and everyone with a black & white heart x

I don’t remember anything about the guy except a game against Spurs where he came off the bench and every time the camera showed him he done fcuk all except stopping dead. tads who was at the game reckons he was even worse live. I don’t know how it’s possible anyone can defend him. Every bit as bad or worse than Owen.

I remember a fair bit of him. Like I say, he was important in that specific season and without him we would have got relegated. Not saying he was a good signing overall but think the criticism you put towards him a little over the top considering he played a big part in keeping us up.
Michael Owen however, was supposed to be captain and never showed any sort of commitment. Soon as relegation happened he was off on his chopper home never to be seen or heard if again, other than predicting defeats for us on his ‘pundit’ job.

Comment #11We’ve been linked with a January move for stefanos kapino, olympiakos keeper. Think we’re only looking at a loan yet reports say he is available for less than £2m.

I hope Santa bring us a new mega rich owner who isn’t afraid of buying a couple of decent players.
