Alan Shearer Delighted With Massive Newcastle Win

It was a goal from Ayzoe Perez on 73 minutes that gave Newcastle only our 6th win of the season and a second double – we have beaten Stoke City twice like we beat West Ham twice.

Strange but true.

It was a massive win and an excellent performance from Karl Darlow in goal who is now coming into form for Newcastle and whenever he’s had a run in the team he has played well.

Young Murphy is also showing he can become a very good buy for us and all around it was an excellent team performance from our lads.

Well done!

This gives fans some hope that Rafa can still save us!

    GREAT SAVE!
    Stoke 0-1 Newcastle

What a save! My word that is brilliant from Karl Darlow! He claws out a header from Mame Diouf from what, three yards?! (BBC)

Did anyone notice on 77mins Berahino sprayed a pass from one side to the other – went straight out of play. Close up of his face immediatelty afterwords you could clearly see that he was calling his team mate a F****** T**T. Discontent in their ranks – excellent.

Doubt we’ll get any positives from a certain person in particular, but at least munster was gracious in us winning today.

To do what Rafa is doing with the poverty of quality in this squad is nothing short of remarkable and I think real fans can see and appreciate what he is up against but he is taking on Ash and is still standing.

I really liked playing with a false 9 as we seem much more fluid and played far fewer hoofs. Never thought I’d say it but I thought Diame was immense today along with an inspired Darlow, a more focused shelvey and I’m so glad for Murphy getting a magnificent assist and maybe the naysayers will give the kid a break now. GO RAFA !!!!!!!!!

I noticed that hail about Murphy. If he could have got rid of the ball for the goal he would off but as nobody was supporting him he was forced to run with it which he should have done anyway. Then delivers a class pass. He had a better second half as he went on that run past 2 players and got Allen booked. After that his confidence took a boost and he played much better. Richie is just god awful at the moment.

You get your choice with keepers – Elliot probably wouldn’t react as quickly, but then he may have put more thought into his positioning with corners. All we need now is to borrow Seth Brundles matter transporter and put them both in Pod “A”…..

Ritchie is getting alot of stick but it seems like he has been told to cover alot more than he was at the start of the season infact since the watford game
And i dont think hes too happy about it still 1 of our best and most experienced players who has won us more points than not this season

Great performance today, grit determination and craft…. got to say well done to all the lads but especially darlow, who made 3-4 worldy saves the day, murphy who seemed to grow into game as it went and was pretty much assaulted all game, fantastic ball as well for the goal and im not a huge diame fan as to me he looks like he’s never seen a football before at times…but credit where it’s he had great game and grafted like a trojan….well done all….3 points….thats a bit of a relief tbh.

Great result although I could have done without the jitters at the end. Should really have been out of sight with Clark,ys miss and the pen on Gayle but much needed. And a big shout to Darlow, what a performance, great for the lad

    YES!

Absolutely buzzing, a great team performance.

Darlow was immense as was Lascelles and Clark. Really really happy for Diame, he seems to have stepped up since he was booed off of the pitch.

No penalty again? It’s absolutely ridiculous, also would like to mention that reading the comments through the game was a pleasant surprise. No sly digs, just passion. Really glad Murphy stepped up in time to make a fee people eat humble pie (granted he was having a poor game). But great blogging from everyone, I honestly couldn’t be happier. Everything has just gone great today.

Ritchie needs to be dropped though, awful again. Did this happen when he was at Bournemouth?

We.ve heard Rafa talking VERY positively about the Cup. Whatever he does – team wise for the Luton game – he surely has not to put in jeopardy any players who would normally be selected for the Swans game a week later.

Speaking of a rumble at the Denton, has Hibbit been with us today? It’d be a shame if he’s decided not to post.

There’s some I think Ed’d be happy to lose rather than Hibbit.
