There is news today in the Mirror that Newcastle United may be interested in bringing Joe Hart to Newcastle on a loan spell this month.
Rafa wants another goalkeeper in this month, and that will allow him to send the very promising Freddie Woodman out on loan to get some valuable first-team experience.
Hart has not been too impressive over the last two years and was average in his loan spell last season at Torino, and he has lost his first team place at West Ham to Spanish goalkeeper Adrian – who was a target of ours last summer.
Joe Hart – unlikely to come to Newcastle
The 30-year-old England goalkeeper is on a season-long loan deal at West Ham and is desperate for first-team games so he can make the England squad for the World Cup in Russia this summer.
But it could be complicated to get this done because if they could work out an agreement with Newcastle for the loan deal for Hart, it would mean that West Ham would have to bring in another goalkeeper.
Why would they want to do that just to help out Newcastle?
And Joe will play in the FA Cup today at Shrewsbury, his hometown club where he began his career, and David Moyes has promised him first-team football at West Ham this season.
Karl Darlow is currently the number one goalkeeper at Newcastle after Rob Elliot was injured and it seems Rob will be out another two weeks with his thigh injury.
