Newcastle 5th Top Of Festive Season Mini-League – What’s Possible Under Amanda Staveley

Sky Sports have issued the table of the Premier League over the four vital Premier League games when Newcastle picked up two wins and a draw – 7 valuable points.

And it shows Newcastle in 5th position behind Tottenham, Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea in that order.

That’s probably the position we will finish in next season assuming Ms. Amanda Staveley buys the club soon and allows Rafa Benitez to invest in new players this summer.

🙂

Rafa Benitez – good record over festive season

Here’s the table of those four games and we are one point above both Manchester United and Arsenal.

With away wins against relegation rivals West Ham and Stoke City – that allowed us to complete a double over those clubs and we are now 13th in the Premier League table.

Newcastle face bottom club Swansea City on Saturday at home, and if we can win that vital game, it will be our third double of the season, even though we would have only seven wins in total in the league.

But that position of 5th is around where we would hope to be in a year or two if Amanda Staveley and her PCP Capital Partners group buys the club early this year.

We need for Mike Ashley to sell up and leave – he’s been an awful owner for Newcastle and primarily responsible for our slide over the past 10 years.

This all assumes we can avoid relegation this season of course.

But it’s worth looking on the sunny side – if only briefly – and we just hope we can continue our good form of late in the league.

Heres where we are at the moment in the Premier League.

    Expat

The palace lad has premier league experience and Lazaar doesn’t. Lazaar looked awful and weak last season doubt he will have improved

    2015/16 season
The CP guy looked canny playing against
Huddersfield in the League Cup in September
If the rumours are true Rafa must see something in him

Wtf is Dave? His very first post was a skit of me phoning total sport, now he’s seemingly singling expat out. He appeared a day or two after Chas who like Ian Toon thought great posters like Murvar had been driven from the blog???

He played against us in our relegation (season before last ) side. Regular fans will remember we beat Palace 1-0 under Rafa.
He was a stand out player and Rafa has a memory like an elephant!

It was total sport. It was you with two questions and you only got to ask one. The station and listeners were bored with you. Just as I am.

Looks like I miss timed coming on here. We seem to have another new trouble maker trying to kick off.

    Dubai

That case won’t go any further mate. If Chelsea had waited 4 months they would have got him on a free, what would the complaint have been then?

Didn’t citeh offer 40m or 50m for Sanchez in the summer, now talk of him going for 20m in winter as he’s available on a free in the summer

Thanks for the kind namecheck, Jail. Whoever said it was right – this is my first post for about 18 months. Do you think it’s safe to come back?!!
