Disappointed Fans Flood To Twitter To Vent Their Frustrations

It was a game we had to win – against a bottom of the league side at home and we couldn’t do it.

Once again we missed too many chances in the first half and we could have ended up losing the game.

We had to come back from going a goal down after 60 minutes and it was a nice goal from substitute Joselu to equalize after 68 minutes – four minutes after he came on for Gayle.

But if we cannot beat the bottom team at home – who can we beat.

We seem to be a better team away from home so we have to hope we can do that in future games.

Ayew – puts Swansea ahead after 60 minutes

But it’s even looking like it may be the second January running that no players are brought in to strengthen the squad.

Here are typical tweets from fans.

Hollie – you are not the only one….

Everybody can see what we are crying out for is a goalscorer.

If we had a goalscorer the likes of Demba Ba, Cisse, Remy and dare to mention him Carroll when he was here, up front, we would be sitting pretty at mid-table –

I don’t think our football in the first half was bad yesterday along with the likes of the Bournemouth and Everton games which ran a similar course. Just if we had a goalscorer we could have had another 7 points.

We are creating chances in every game but getting the chance on target or into the net is proving difficult.

Then halftime comes and we get scared of losing the game – we tighten up play silly little sideways balls, balls back to the keeper slow the game down letting the opposition space and a route back into the game.

Yet – yes the result was disappointing, I was not despondent as I think we are playing decent football in the first half of games/creating chances and have enough to stay up – IF WE CAN CONVERT THE CHANCES WE CREATE

    catchy,
Rafa has a 97% fans approval rate. Your last highly approved manager had 80M pound spunked on him and set us up for relegation. Your other highly recommended target OGS got Cardiff relegated, so basically all your favourite managers get teams relegated, yet you’re having a go at one of the best managers in the PL who has a Championship team slightly punching above their weight.

Well at least by Jan 31st we will now know whether we are down or have a fighting chance and we can use the rest of the season to digest and accept it.

Couple of questions, all answers welcome:

    1. Why haven’t we won at home (ignore cup results) since beating Palace in October ?

    2. Why hasnt Rafa sold Mitrovich and Colback since they no longer play for him ?

Rafa clearly holds grudges or something because mitro being allowed to contribute zilch for months makes no sense. Last game time he got, he made a difference. Ashley remains a curse and if we go down we may never get up. Regarding Catchys point about signings, I think we can say that rafa hasn’t covered himself in glory on that front. Of course the relevant issue is budget and how tiny it is but besides merino (sub these days) he certainly hasn’t pulled up any 5m gems but I’m sure he wud like to have the chance again before buying that awful Belgian goalie, lazaar, Joselu, Murphy, gamez and lejeune. I’m hoping that around the 20th, rafa will be told the deal is done and he has the better targets lined up and ready to roll. Ashley must be loving our pain.
