Fans Flock To Twitter After New Staveley Bid – Concerns Ashley Jeopardizing Club

Newcastle fans have flocked to Twitter on the news that Amanda Staveley has increased her offer to over 300M for the club.

The reports are in the Star and the Express – two papers owned by Staveley’s close friend Richard Desmond.

But it looks like Ashley will delay his decision to next month when the new Premier League TV deal will be announced and that’s likely to be much bigger than the current £5.1B deal.

That put the club in some jeopardy with Rafa Benitez worried he will not be able to attract players for various reasons.

He will not be given much to spend by Ashley and there is uncertainty at the club.

Two good questions – who will be the owner in the summer and will Newcastle still be a Premier League club by then.

Fans are not happy with what Ashley is doing – it seems he is again putting the club in jeopardy of relegation.

Mike Ashley – jeopardizing club

Increased TV money doesn’t mean a great deal in the Championship.

Another day another load of nonsense.
Anyone serious about buying the club needs to force it through asap.
Every day of delay now increases our relegation chances.
The fact that there doesn’t appear to be any imminent breakthrough suggests nothing close or potentially even real.

If Ashley wants to stay to enjoy the increased TV money or even just benefit from increased value of club then he needs a club to be comfortable in the league to attract buyers come Summer.

This stand off damages everyone and makes no sense

Just another day in the life of a Newcastle fan!

Repost due to Ed pumping the stories out.

    Morning all.

Hopefully this new story is bull because if its not rafas not going to get the money needed to keep us up. It will be a long slog till the end of the season.

Saying that though. Can we believe a word they print in the papers. Listening to Total Sport last night and they didn’t have a clue. I’m sure Ando would have been told by a coach or someone he knows if all the signage had started to come down.

Only a few days left for Richard Desmond
to make a few bob out of this saga.
I feel the takeover will be announced in this
    weekends Sunday papers .
For Rafa to have mentioned the 20th is no
accident the more I think about it.

That story is manipulative one way or another, we just don’t know to what extent as yet.

Jib, I hope you are right but I can’t see it.

I don’t believe anything that is written in these rags they call newspapers. The whole point of an NDA means nothing gets out before its signed, sealed and delivered!

    Here’s hoping for the 20th!!!

Two possible scenario’s in my opinion.

    1. Deal is done, Rafa knows, new owners to be announced this week, targets lined up and will be bought in before the window.

    2. Takeover off/delayed (for whatever reason), Rafa cool as he expected this regardless of the promises in the summer.

The latter doesn’t make sense, Ashley is obviously a gambler but surely he wouldn’t risk 100-150m loss if we go down.

Ashley has just cancelled Xmas, so we need to let him know we are not just bending over and taking it as usual…..Get your sheets out and let’s make statements to the world on the telly v’s Man City that Ashley and his sweat shop retail chain are tainted. Even a 1% push might just be enough to move his fat arse.

    Apologies before I start.
YOU GREEDY COCK-ney FAT BA####D. If the rumours are true then you have the amount that you paid with interest. What more do you want now. What good will it do waiting for the tv rights to be released ? You shouldn’t be the owner by then HOPEFULLY ! Nobody wants you here anymore. You are just taking the p##s out of us Geordies. I thing you should move all of your shops to Blunderland as they are the only things that support what you are doing and what you sell in them are Makems Sunday best attire .
I honestly think that Amanda should give Fatman a deadline to accept her offer. That’ll make him sweat, Lose some weight ! Jog on !

I hope that there is to be a good twist to this saga by the end of the week, Maybe around the 20th ! Does Rafa know more than he is letting on ? I think so as for sure I would spat my dummy out and chucked the toys out of the pram before now. Good on you Rafa !! You’re the MAN !
