There are at least a couple of things troubling Newcastle fans this morning.
One is that with Mike Ashley has never treated Rafa Benitez like the world-class manager. and the owner is making it very difficult for Rafa to strengthen the squad this month.
And there are doubts Mike Ashley will actually sell the club and that this could be another rouse to distract Newcastle fans while little money is being spent by the club on new players.
Rafa could walk in the summer – and maybe even before that.
It’s clear that Rafa will see no future at Newcastle if Ashley remains the owner.
And that could still happen if the new TV rights deal for the Premier League is massive (as expected) when announced next month.
After all, the only thing we are sure about with Mike Ashley is that he likes money (in the bank).
It’s a serious situation Newcastle are in right now, but we have to support Rafa and the players and hopefully, we can get some wins on the board and climb the league table.
But these distractions related to selling the club are having a negative impact at Newcastle.
Rafa Benitez – Newcastle manager

Russell .. he’s the biggest cancer this football club has ever experienced I honestly despair I’m at a loss just now this is the worse news & don’t expect Rafa to be here in fact he could walk after this #nufc

The only thing for any #nufc fan to be happy now is for Ashley to spend big in January, keep Rafa, stay up and sell up before the summer window opens! To much to ask? @lee_ryder @NufcPortal @MsiDouglas @SkySports_Keith

I worry about the impact all this is gonna have on Rafa and the players, home game fans at 1-0 down are gonna be unbearable #nufc

Ashley has no excuse not to back Rafa now and give him some decent money to spend. Let’s see what happens in the rest of the window? If Rafa isn’t backed properly then Mike Ashley deserves everything coming his way #nufc

If he wants to protect his sellable asset then he must give Rafa money to secure PL status for #nufc if he doesn’t then he’s setting fire to £200m. If he’s the astute business man people claim? The decision is clear imo.

This is a good post.
Cancelling season ticket now is pointless the only way we should walk away is if rafa walks away. Forget about Mike ashley for the moment and concentrate on helping rafa and the players keeping the club in the premier league #United #NUFC

This is how embarrassing Mike Ashley and the people he employs are, Amanda Staveley finding out that the talks have broken down through social media! He is an absolute clown, who is not wanted at any of our games! He musnt value it that much if he doesnt give Rafa any money! #nufc

#nufc I’m a big Rafa fan always stated that, but he’s not the be all and end all of our club. All this he’s to good for Newcastle is bollox. Yes he has a boss who’s a twat, but that doesn’t mean we have to worship him. He’s here cos he wants to be.

Keith Bishop and sky sports have connived into putting everything possible positive spin on his ownership while looking to malign Rafa and the fans telling us what’s good for us. fans will let Ashley know Wats good for him come summer if he still hasn’t sold #nufc

All we know for certain is that its another distraction for doing nowt in the transfer window. “Leopard, spots”, Don’t change their ways. Ashley has lied yet again “I’ll invest if I don’t sell”.
